Madison Gate Records will release the main title theme of the Netflix original series Bloodline. The drama’s first season premiered last spring and a second season is set to premiere on May 27 on Netflix.

The show’s original music is composed by James Jandrisch (Reasonable Doubt). Houdini & Doyle centers around master magician Harry Houdini and writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as they grudgingly join forces with New Scotland Yard to investigate inexplicable crimes with a supernatural slant. The 5-parter’s original music is composed by Stephen Rennicks (Room, Frank, Viva). Rebellion tells the story of the birth of modern Ireland through the eyes of three young women. Netflix’s ‘Marseille’ to Feature Music by Alexandre Desplat
Alexandre Desplat has composed the music for the upcoming Netflix original series Marseille. The show is created by Dan Franck and stars Gérard Depardieu, Benoît Magimel, Géraldine Pailhas, Nadia Farès, Gérard Meylan, Nassim Si Ahmed, Antoine Coesens, Nozha Khouadra and Maruschka Detmers. The 8-parter centers around the city election between the long-time mayor Robert Taro and a younger ambitious candidate. Franck is also executive producing the political drama with Florent-Emilio Siri (My Way) who also directed the first four episodes.
Nick Urata to Score Netflix’s ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’
Nick Urata is set to compose the music for the upcoming Netflix original series A Series of Unfortunate Events. The show is based on the book series by Lemony Snicket and stars Neil Patrick Harris, Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, Aasif Mandvi, K. Todd Freeman and Patrick Warbutton as Snicket himself. The 8-parter tells the tale of three orphaned children at the hands of the villainous Count Olaf, as they face trials and tribulations, misfortunes and an evil uncle in search of their fortune, all in their quest to uncover the secret of their parents’ deaths. Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black, Get Shorty, The Addams Family) is executive producing the Paramount Television production with Mark Hudis (True Blood) and Daniel Handler.
Adrian Younge & Ali Shaheed Muhammad to Score Netflix’s & Marvel’s ‘Luke Cage’
Writer/producer Cheo Hodari Coker revealed in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly that Adrian Younge & Ali Shaheed Muhammad are scoring the upcoming Netflix original series Luke Cage. The show is based on the Marvel Comics character and stars Mike Colter in the title role, alongside Mahershala Ali, Alfre Woodard, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Frank Whaley and Sônia Braga. The drama follows Cage as he becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City after a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin. Colter who serves as a showrunner on the Marvel Entertainment production is executive producing the project with Jeph Loeb (Daredevil, Jessica Jones).
Joseph Trapanese to Score ‘Jadotville’ and ‘Shimmer Lake’
Joseph Trapanese has signed on to score the upcoming war thriller Jadotville. The film is directed by Richie Smyth and stars Jamie Dornan, Guillaume Canet, Jason O’Mara and Mark Strong. The movie tells the true story of Irish Commandant Pat Quinlan who led a stand off with troops against French and Belgian Mercenaries in the Congo during in the early 1960s. Kevin Brodbin (Constantine, Mindhunters) has written the screenplay based on a novel by Declan Power. Alan Moloney (The Escapist, Albert Nobbs, Byzantium) is producing the project for Parallel Films.
‘Pee-wee’s Big Holiday’ Soundtrack Details
The details of the soundtrack album for the Netflix original movie Pee-wee’s Big Holiday have been announced. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (The LEGO Movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Hotel Transylvania, 21/22 Jump Street). The soundtrack will be released digitally within the next few weeks and physically on May 6, 2016 by Varese Sarabande. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. Pee-wee’s Big Holiday is directed by John Lee and stars Paul Reubens, Tara Buck, Joe Manganiello, Jessica Pohl, Stephanie Beatriz and Alia Shawkat. The comedy produced by Judd Apatow revolves around a fateful meeting with a mysterious stranger who inspires Pee-wee Herman to take his first-ever holiday.
Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Making a Murderer’ Announced
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Making a Murderer. The album features the show’s themes composed by Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries, 21 Grams), as well as selections from the series’ original score composed by Kevin Kiner (CSI: Miami, Hell on Wheels, Jane the Virgin). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 6, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Making a Murderer is written and directed by Laura Ricciardi & Moira Demos and explores the story of Steven Avery, who spent 18 years in prison for rape and was freed after DNA linked another man to the crime.
