Joseph Shirley has recently been scoring the third season of Lucasfilm’s Disney+ original series The Mandalorian. The composer has previously provided additional music to the first two seasons of the show as part of Ludwig Göransson’s team. While the full Season 3 music credits have not been confirmed yet, our understanding is that it will be similar to last year’s The Book of Boba Fett with Shirley being credited as the score composer and Göransson for providing the themes.

Disney+ Announces ‘Voices Rising: The Music of Wakanda Forever’ Docuseries
Disney+ has announced Voices Rising: The Music of Wakanda Forever, a new documentary series focusing on the music from Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The show centers on the songs and score from the movie and features interview with director Ryan Coogler, composer Ludwig Göransson, among others. Check out the series’ trailer after the jump. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has been Oscar-shortlisted in both the “original score” and “original song” categories for Göransson’s score and the original song Lift Me Up co-written (with Tems, Göransson & Coogler) and performed by Rihanna.
‘Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies’ Soundtrack Released
Walt Disney Records has released the music from the animated short Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies. The digital single features the film’s score composed by Academy Award and Emmy Award winner Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, The Mandalorian, Tenet, Creed, Turning Red, Venom) and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Florence Kasumba, Winston Duke and Michaela Coel. The film’s original score is composed by Ludwig Göransson (The Mandalorian, Creed, Tenet, Community, Turning Red). Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today (click here for the full album details) and a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from and inspired by the movie was released last Friday by Hollywood & Roc Nation Records & Def Jam Recordings (click here for more information).
Opening in select theaters today is the coming-of-age drama The Fabelmans directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Michelle Williams, Paul Dano, Gabriel LaBelle, Seth Rogen, Julia Butters, Robin Bartlett, Jeannie Berlin, Keeley Karsten and Judd Hirsch. John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Jaws, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Schindler’s List) has composed the film’s original music. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as several classical pieces today. Disney+ announced today that Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, Creed, Tenet, Venom, Turning Red) has composed the original music for the new animated short Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies. The film is directed by Katsuya Kondo and produced by Lucasfilm and Japanese animation studio Studio Ghibli. Göransson has previously scored the first two seasons of Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian, which introduced the character of Grogu/Baby Yoda and also contributed music to The Book of Boba Fett.
Rihanna’s Original Song ‘Born Again’ from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Released

The full details of the score album for Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Ludwig Göransson (The Mandalorian, Tenet, Creed, Community, Fruitvale Station, Venom, Turning Red) who received his first Academy Award for his music for the original 2018 movie. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 11 by Hollywood Records & Marvel Music and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. A separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie co-written and produced by Göransson was released last week.

Rihanna announced today that she has recorded an original song for Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The track, entitled Lift Me Up, is written by Tems, Academy Award winner Ludwig Göransson, Rihanna herself and director Ryan Coogler. Göransson also produced the song, which was recorded in five countries and will be released as a digital single this Friday, October 28 by Roc Nation Records, Def Jam Recordings & Hollywood Records. A 3-track prologue single for the movie has previously been released this past summer.
