Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the Skydance Animation’s 2022 feature Luck directed by Peggy Holmes and starring Eva Noblezada, Simon Pegg, Whoopi Goldberg, Jane Fonda, Lil Rel Howery, John Ratzenberger, Flula Borg Colin O’Donoghue and Adelynn Spoon. The album features the expanded original score from the film composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Elf, Iron Man 2, The Emperor’s New Groove, Hocus Pocus, Bruce Almighty), including over 30 minutes of previously unreleased music. The 2-CD set is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also find out more about the release and listen to audio samples. Milan Records has previously released the original 2022 digital soundtrack album.

Weekly Film Music Roundup (August 5, 2022)
Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the action comedy Bullet Train directed by David Leitch and starring Brad Pitt, Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Sandra Bullock, Andrew Koji, Brian Tyree Henry and Michael Shannon. The film’s original score is composed by Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Peter Rabbit, Money Monster, The King’s Man) who also co-wrote and produced several of the songs from the movie. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today (click here for the full album details) and Arista Records has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the Sony Pictures production (click here for more information).
Also opening wide is the comedy Easter Sunday directed by Jay Chandrasekhar and starring Jo Koy, Jimmy O. Yang, Tia Carrere, Eva Noblezada, Brandon Wardell, Tiffany Haddish and Lou Diamond Phillips. Dan the Automator (Booksmart, Control, Holidate) has composed the film’s original music. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Soundtrack Album for Apple TV+’s ‘Luck’ to Be Released
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for Skydance Animation’s feature Luck. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Elf, The Jungle Book, Iron Man 2, Hocus Pocus, The Emperor’s New Groove, Bruce Almighty). Also included is the cover version of Madonna’s Lucky Star performed by Eva Noblezada (who stars in the lead role of Sam Greenfield). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, August 5 and will be available to stream/download here. John Debney Scoring Skydance Animation’s ‘Luck’
Over the last couple of days, John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Elf, Iron Man 2, The Jungle Book) has been recording his score for the upcoming animated feature Luck. The film is directed by Peggy Holmes (Secret of the Wings, The Pirate Fairy) and features the voice talent of Jane Fonda and Whoopi Goldberg. The movie centers around the unluckiest girl in the world who – after stumbling upon the never-before-seen world of good and bad luck – must join together with magical creatures to uncover a force more powerful than even luck itself.
Jeff Beal Scoring ‘GCB’
Jeff Beal is scoring the new ABC comedy drama GCB (previously entitled Good Christian Belles). The show created by Robert Harling (Steel Magnolia, The First Wives Club) is based on Kim Gatlin’s book Good Christian Bitches and centers on a recently divorced mother of two who moves back to the affluent Dallas neighborhood where she grew up to find herself in the whirling midst of salacious gossip, Botox, and fraud. The series’ cast includes Leslie Bibb (Iron Man, Popular), Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies), Marisol Nichols (24), as well as Mark Deklin, Miriam Schor, Jennifer Aspen, Annie Potts, David James Elliott and Brad Beyer. Darren Starr (Sex and the City) is executive producing the show with Harling, Gretchen J. Berg, Aaron Harberts, Aaron Kaplan and Alan Poul (The Back-up Plan) who also directed the pilot episode.
Dickon Hinchliffe to Score ‘Shadow Dancer’
Dickon Hinchliffe has been hired to score the upcoming thriller Shadow Dancer. The movie is directed by James Marsh (Man on Wire) and stars Clive Owen, Andrea Riseborough, Aidan Gillen and Gillian Anderson. The film follows a young mother who is heavily involved in the Irish Republican movement and loses her younger brother at the hands of the British security forces. The BBC Films production is written by Tom Bradby and produced by Chris Coen (Funny Games), Andrew Lowe (This Must Be The Place) and Ed Guiney (The Guard).
