La-La Land Records has released a remastered and expanded re-issue of the score for the Wachowski’s 2003 Warner Bros. Pictures sci-fi action film The Matrix Revolutions starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss. The album features over two hours of the film’s original music composed and conducted by Don Davis (Jurassic Park 3, Bound), including cues that were not used in the final film, as well as bonus alternate cues. The 2CD-set is limited to 3000 copies and is now available to order on the La-La Land’s website, where you can also listen to audio clips and check out the full album details. The label has previously released an expanded release for the first sequel in the trilogy.

Jerry Goldsmith’s ‘The List of Adrian Messenger’ Score Release Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced the latest title in its CD Club series. The label will release a soundtrack album for the 1963 drama The List of Adrian Messenger directed by John Huston and starring Kirk Douglas, Tony Curtis, Burt Lancaster, Robert Mitchum, George C. Scott and Frank Sinatra. The CD marks the world premiere release of the film’s original score composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Papillon, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Alien). Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in the CD Club series. Among the titles is a deluxe edition for Star Trek: Nemesis, the tenth feature in the series and the final movie with the Next Generation crew, directed by Stuart Baird and starring Jonathan Frakes, Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Tom Hardy and Marina Sirtis. The album includes the world premiere release of the complete score composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Planet of the Apes, Patton) who previously scored Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Final Frontier, First Contact and Insurrection. Nemesis marked his final score for the franchise. The soundtrack also features source music and alternate cues. Jerry Goldsmith’s Complete ‘Sebastian’ Score Released
Intrada Records has announced the world premiere release of the complete score for the 1968 spy thriller Sebastian directed by David Greene and starring Dirk Bogarde, Susannah York, Lilli Palmer, Janet Munro, Ronald Fraser and Sir John Gielgud. The album features the film’s original music written and conducted by Academy Award-winning composer Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Omen, Patton), including the content of the original 1968 LP release on the Dot label. Jerry Goldsmith’s Complete ‘Poltergeist II: The Other Side’ Score Release Announced
Kritzerland has announced the world premiere release of the complete score for the 1986 horor sequel Poltergeist II: The Other Side directed by Brian Gibson and starring Craig T. Nelson, Jobeth Williams, Oliver Robins, Heather O’Rourke and Zelda Rubinstein. The music is composed and conducted by Academy Award-winning composer Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Chinatown) who received an Oscar nomination for the original Poltergeist film. The 2-CD set features the complete film scores, as well as a number of track, including an alternate version of one of the new cues making its first appearance on the release. The soundtrack is limited to 1500 copies and is now available for pre-order on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio clips.
Expanded ‘Star Trek: Insurrection’ Soundtrack Announced
GNP Crescendo has announced a new expanded soundtrack collector’s edition for the sci-fi film Star Trek: Insurrection. The album features the film’s complete original score composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith, including a half hour more music than the original 1998 CD and several alternates for a total running time of over 79 minutes. The soundtrack will be released on August 6, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on the label’s official website. GNP has recently released expanded soundtrack editions for other movies in the Star Trek series, including Star Trek: Generations and Star Trek: First Contact. Star Trek: Insurrection directed by Jonathan Franks and starring himself, as well as Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, F. Murray Abraham, Donna Murphy and Anthony Zerbe marked the ninth feature film of the franchise.
James Horner’s Complete ‘Clear and Present Danger’ Score Released
Intrada Records has announced the world premiere release of the complete score for the 1994 thriller Clear and Present Danger based on Tom Clancy’s novel, directed by Phillip Noyce and starring Harrison Ford as Jack Ryan. The album features the film’s music composed and conducted by Academy Award-winning composer James Horner. The previous original soundtrack release only included half of the composer’s score for the Paramount Pictures production. Also featured on the CD is the composer’s score for the 1968 cop thriller The Detective directed by Gordon Douglas and starring Frank Sinatra, Lee Remick and Robert Duvall. Jerry Goldsmith’s ‘The Salamander’ Score Released
Prometheus Records and Tadlow Music have announced the world premiere recording of the complete score for the 1981 thriller The Salamander directed by Peter Zinner and starring Franco Nero, Anthony Quinn, Martin Balsam, Sybil Dannng, Christopher Lee, Eli Wallach and Claudia Cardinale. The music composed by Jerry Goldsmith has been newly recorded in by the 85-piece City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and 80-voice Choir conducted by Nic Raine. Also featured on the album as two bonus tracks are two concert suites from Goldsmith’s score for The Cassandra Crossing and Ransom.
