Shogun Music has released the fifth soundtrack album for the BBC natural history series Wild Isles. The album features the original music from the show’s fifth and final episode, entitled Ocean, composed by Academy Award nominee George Fenton (The Blue Planet, Groundhog Day, Dangerous Liaisons, Anna and the King, Gandhi, Hitch, You’ve Got Mail). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released the composer’s score from the first four episodes (Our Precious Isles, Woodland, Grassland & Freshwater) over the last couple of weeks. Wild Isles presented by Sir David Attenborough and executive produced by Alastair Fothergrill just finished its series run in the UK last night on BBC One.

Eoin O’Callaghan (Quinn Country, Heyday – The Mic Christopher Story) is the composer of the new BBC drama Blue Lights. The show is created by Declan Lawn & Adam Patterson (The Salisbury Poisonings, Rogue Agent) and stars Siân Brooke, Nathan Braniff, Katherine Devli, Richard Dormer, Martin McCann, John Lynch, Joanne Crawford, Hannah McClean, Jonathan Harden and Andi Osho. The series in set in Belfast and follows three PSNI recruits as they fight against criminal gangs, undercover agents, their own communities and even their own police force.
Stephen Rennicks Scoring BBC’s ‘Best Interests’
Stephen Rennicks (Room, Normal People, Frank, Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, Conversations with Friends) is scoring the upcoming BBC drama Best Interests. The show is created by Jack Thorne (His Dark Materials, Wonder, Enola Holmes) and stars Sharon Horgan, Michael Sheen, Alison Oliver, Niamh Moriarty, Noma Dumezweni, Des McAleer, Chizzy Akudolu, Mat Fraser, Jack Morris, Gary Beadle, Pippa Haywood, Shane Zaza, Lucian Msamati and Lisa McGrillis. The 4-part series directed by Michael Keillor (Roadkill) follows a married couple whose daughter develops a life-threatening condition and chronicles their fight that will take them through every stage of a legal process.
