Walter Murphy (Ted, Family Guy, Wiseguy, The Late Bloomer, Raw Force) has composed the original music for the upcoming comedy Queen Bees. The film is directed by Michael Lembeck (The Santa Clause 2 & 3, Tooth Fairy) and stars Ellen Burstyn, James Caan, Ann-Margret, Jane Curtin, Loretta Devine, Christopher Lloyd, Elizabeth Mitchell and French Stewart. The movie follows a fiercely independent senior who moves into a retirement community where she encounters lusty widows, cutthroat bridge tournaments and a hotbed of bullying “mean girls” the likes of which she hasn’t encountered since high school. Disney’s ‘Cruella’ to Feature Original Song ‘Call me Cruella’ by Florence + The Machine

Disney announced today that Florence + The Machine has recorded the original song Call me Cruella for the studio’s live-action feature Cruella. The track is co-written by the film’s composer Nicholas Britell (Succession, Moonlight, The Big Short, If Beale Street Could Talk) and will be featured in the film and on both the original motion picture soundtrack and the original score album, which are set to be released on May 21 by Walt Disney Records. Xtra Mile Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the British comedy Rare Beasts. The album features the film’s original music composed by Johnny Lloyd & Nathan Coen (I Hate Suzie). Over the past week, Joby Talbot has been recording his score for the upcoming animated sequel Sing 2. The film is written and directed by Garth Jennings and features the voices of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Nick Kroll, Tori Kelly, Bobby Cannavale, Pharrell Williams, Halsey, Letitia Wright, Eric Andre, Chelsea Peretti and Bono. The movie follows Buster Moon and his all-star cast of animal performers as they prepare to launch their most dazzling stage extravaganza yet and have to persuade the world’s most reclusive rock star to join them. Opening in theaters nationwide today is the action thriller Wrath of Man co-written and directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Jason Statham, Jeffrey Donovan, Josh Hartnett, Laz Alonso, Raúl Castillo, Eddie Marsan, Deobia Oparei and Scott Eastwood. The film’s original music is composed by Chris Benstead (The Gentlemen). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the comedy Here Today directed by Billy Crystal and starring Crystal himself, Tiffany Haddish, Anna Deavere Smith, Louisa Krause, Penn Badgley, Nyambi Nyambi and Laura Benanti. Charlie Rosen (The Presidents Show) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the drama The Water Man. The album features the film’s original score composed by Peter Baert (Facades, Breathless). Also included are two songs written and performed by Jessica Oyelowo, including the original end titles track My Son.
