The full details of the soundtrack album for the Candyman reboot have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, August 27 by Waxwork Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A vinyl and CD version will be available to order on the label’s website on the same day. A first track from the score (Rows and Towers) has previously been released last week and a second track (The Sweet) is now available to stream/download here. Candyman is co-written and directed by Nia DaCosta and stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and Colman Domingo. The movie co-written and produced by Jordan Peele is set a decade after the last of the Cabrini towers were torn down and follows a visual artist who moves into a luxury loft condo in Cabrini, now gentrified beyond recognition, where a chance encounter with a Cabrini Green old-timer exposes him to the tragically horrific nature of the true story behind Candyman.
