Michael Kiwanuka has recorded the original song Beautiful Life for the new Netflix documentary Convergence: Courage in a Crisis. The track is written and performed by the Grammy Award-nominated singer/songwriter and will be featured in the film directed by Academy Award winner Orlando von Einsiedel (The White Helments, Virgunga) who spotlights a cross-section of global citizens in the COVID-19 crisis. A first clip from the song is featured in the trailer embedded after the jump. The director’s regular composer Patrick Jonsson (Black Earth Rising, On Her Shoulders) has written the original score for the movie, which spans eight countries and nine individual stories and reveals the power of compassion and community in the face of a crisis. The film is directed by Anthony & Claire Bueno (Cleanin’ Up The Town) and centers on the making-of the 1989 sequel. The movie will feature interviews with director/producer Ivan Reitman, stars Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson & Sigourney Weaver, producers Joe Medjuck & Michael C.
