Michael Kiwanuka has recorded the original song Beautiful Life for the new Netflix documentary Convergence: Courage in a Crisis.  The track is written and performed by the Grammy Award-nominated singer/songwriter and will be featured in the film directed by Academy Award winner Orlando von Einsiedel (The White Helments, Virgunga) who spotlights a cross-section of global citizens in the COVID-19 crisis. A first clip from the song is featured in the trailer embedded after the jump. The director’s regular composer Patrick Jonsson (Black Earth Rising, On Her Shoulders) has written the original score for the movie, which spans eight countries and nine individual stories and reveals the power of compassion and community in the face of a crisis. Randy Edelman (Dragonheart, The Last of the Mohicans, xXx, Gettysburg Dragon: The Bruce Lee StoryKindergarten CopWhile You Were Sleeping) has been hired to score the upcoming documentary Too Hot to Handle: Remembering Ghostbusters II. The film is directed by Anthony & Claire Bueno (Cleanin’ Up The Town) and centers on the making-of the 1989 sequel. The movie will feature interviews with director/producer Ivan Reitman, stars Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson & Sigourney Weaver, producers Joe Medjuck & Michael C. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed Xav Clarke (Elliot from Earth), as well as the theme song Excaliboom by Clap! Clap! (aka Cristiano Crisci). The film is directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys for Life) and stars Leslie Grace in title role of Barbara Gordon. J. K. Simmons is attached to star as Commissioner James Gordon. No plot details have been announced yet. Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey, Bumblebee) wrote the screenplay based on the DC characters. The album features the film’s original music composed by Franco Piersanti (Me and You, The Caiman, Terraferma, Lamerica). The show is created by David Appelbaum and stars Natalie Zea, Eoin Macken, Jon Seda, Nicholas Gonzalez, Karina Logue, Chiké Okonkwo, Zyra Gorecki, Veronica St. Clair, Jack Martin, Rohan Mirchandaney, Josh McKenzie, Lily Santiago and Chloe De Los Santos.
