The show is developed by Isaac Aptaker & Elizabeth Berger (This Is Us, Love, Victor) and stars Hilary Duff, Kim Cattrall, Chris Lowell, Francia Raisa, Suraj Sharma, Tom Ainsley and Tien Tran. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the slasher movie Scream directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett and starring Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Mikey Madison, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sonia Ammar, as well as Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette. The film’s original music is composed by Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, Crazy Rich Asians, Yellowstone, Now You See Me, Thor: The Dark World). Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last Friday. Also opening wide this week is the Japanese animated feature Belle directed by Mamoru Hosoda and starring Paul Castro Jr., Jessica DiCicco, Chace Crawford, Brandon Engman, Manny Jacinto, Hunter Schafer and Cristina Vee Valenzuela. Taisei Iwasaki, Ludvig Forssell (Death Stranding) and Yuta Bandoh (It Comes), among others, have composed the film’s original music. Gary Lionelli (O.J.: Made in America, Luck, Chasing the Moon, The Newspaperman, Nuclear Family) has composed the original music for the upcoming Netflix original documentary Downfall: The Case Against Boeing. The film is directed by Rory Kennedy (Take Every Wave: The Life of Laird Hamilton, Ethel) and centers on the investigation into the crashes of Lion Air Flight 610 and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 after two Boeing 737 MAX jets crash less than five months apart in 2018/2019. Atlantic Screen Music/Filmtrax will release the official soundtrack album for the sci-fi disaster movie Moonfall. The album features the film’s original music composed by Thomas Wander & Harald Kloser (2012, The Day After Tomorrow, Midway, White House Down, Independence Day: Resurgence, 10,000 BC). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 4, 2022 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Moonfall is co-written (with Kloser & Spenser Cohen) and directed by Roland Emmerich and stars Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, John Bradley, Michael Peña, Charlie Plummer, Eme Ikwuakor, Kelly Yu, Carolina Bartczak and Donald Sutherland.
