Maisie Music Publishing will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix stop-motion animated special The House. The album features the original music from all three episodes of the anthology special composed by Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, The Book of Life, Babel, Narcos: Mexico, The Motorcycle Diaries, Finch, 21 Grams). Also included is the original song This House Is… by Santaolalla & Jarvis Cocker who is also part of the project’s voice cast. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 14 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The details of the soundtrack album for the animated sequel Hotel Transylvania: Transformania have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: RagnarokThe LEGO Movie, The Royal Tenenbaums, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Mitchells vs. The Machines). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 14 by Sony Classical and will be available to stream/download here. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring selections of the composer’s scores from the first three installments in the animated franchise. The album features the Academy Award-shortlisted original score from the movie composed by the film’s co-writer/director/producer Jeymes Samuel (aka The Bullitts). Variety is reporting that Laura Karpman (Lovecraft CountrySet It Up,  StepParis Can Wait, Why We Hate, Underground) has signed on to score Marvel Studios’ upcoming Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels. The film is directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman, Little Woods) and stars Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, as well as Zawe Ashton. The 5-track EP features the film’s original score composed by Mathieu Lamboley (Lupin, A Minuscule Adventure, Sisters in Arms, The Last Mercenary, Lolo, Return of the Hero). Earlier this month, Aska Matsumiya (Skate Kitchen, Bruised, I’m Your Woman, Betty, Selah and the Spades) has recorded her score for the upcoming documentary Phoenix Rising. The film is directed by Amy Berg (Deliver Us from Evil, West of Memphis, The Case Against Adnan Syed) and follows actress and activist Evan Rachel Wood and the coalition she builds at The Phoenix Act, tracking the political and community focus the actor has established in the aftermath of her experience and trauma as a domestic violence survivor.
