Maisie Music Publishing will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix stop-motion animated special The House. The album features the original music from all three episodes of the anthology special composed by Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, The Book of Life, Babel, Narcos: Mexico, The Motorcycle Diaries, Finch, 21 Grams). Also included is the original song This House Is… by Santaolalla & Jarvis Cocker who is also part of the project’s voice cast. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 14 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The album features the film’s original score composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, The LEGO Movie, The Royal Tenenbaums, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Mitchells vs. The Machines). The album features the Academy Award-shortlisted original score from the movie composed by the film’s co-writer/director/producer Jeymes Samuel (aka The Bullitts). Variety is reporting that Laura Karpman (Lovecraft Country, Set It Up, Step, Paris Can Wait, Why We Hate, Underground) has signed on to score Marvel Studios’ upcoming Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels. The film is directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman, Little Woods) and stars Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, as well as Zawe Ashton.
