Singer/songwriter, cellist and composer Kelsey Lu is making her narrative feature film scoring debut on the upcoming drama Earth Mama. The movie is written and directed by Savanah Leaf and stars Tia Nomore, Erika Alexander, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Sharon Duncan Brewster and Bokeem Woodbine. The film revolves around a pregnant single mother with two children in foster care who embraces her Bay Area community as she fights to reclaim her family. Cody Ryder (Cop Car), Shirley O’Connor, Medb Riordan and Sam Bisbee (Robot & Frank, The Hero) are producing the A24 production. Earth Mama will premiere this month at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.
