Mister Ibé has released a soundtrack album for the Polish drama Leave No Traces (Zeby nie bylo sladów). The album features the film’s original music composed by Ibrahim Maalouf (Yves Saint LaurentOne Man and His Cow, Who You Think I Am, In the Forests of SiberiaRadiance). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Leave No Traces is directed by Jan P. Matuszyński and stars Tomasz Ziętek, Sandra Korzeniak and Mateusz Górski. The movie, which was Poland’s submission in the International Feature category for this year’s Academy Awards, is set in 1983 and tells the true story of a young man who becomes an enemy of the state after he’s the sole witness to the violent murder of a high school student at the hands of militia. The only movie opening in theaters nationwide this week is the action thriller Memory directed by Martin Campbell and starring Liam Neeson, Guy Pearce, Monica Bellucci, Taj Atwal, Ray Fearon, Harold Torres and Ray Stevenson. The film’s original music is composed by Rupert Parkes (aka Photek) (How to Get Away with Murder, Station 19The ProtegeGang RelatedLife in a Year, Mosul). Music.Film Recordings/Lakeshore Records have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening in limited release is the Finnish horror drama Hatching (Pahanhautoja) directed by Hanna Bergholm and starring Siiri Solalinna, Sophia Heikkilä and Jani Volanen. Stein Berge Svendsen (The Crossing, Happy, Happy) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which follow a 12-year girl who is desperate to please her mother, a woman obsessed with presenting the image of a perfect family, who finds a strange egg. premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is being released in the U.S. by IFC Midnight. Anna Waronker (Yellowjackets, Shrill, Santa, Inc., Harriet the Spy, The Republic of Sarah) is scoring the new Showtime original series I Love That for You. The show is created by Vanessa Bayer & Jeremy Beiler and stars Bayer herself, Molly Shannon, Jenifer Lewis, Paul James, Ayden Mayeri, Matt Rogers and Punam Patel. Deadline is reporting that Harry Connick Jr. is writing and performing original songs for the upcoming romantic comedy The Islander. The singer/songwriter will also star in the movie, which revolves around a has-been musician who moves, sight unseen, to a remote cliffside house on an island, only to discover his new home has an unfortunate notoriety. Stelana Kliris (Committed) will direct the film, which also stars Mira Sorvino and Ali Fumiko Whitney. Paramount+ has released the opening titles sequence for the streamer’s original series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Emmy Award winner Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, The Night Of, The Umbrella Academy, The Man Who Fell to Earth) who previously wrote the themes and scores for Star Trek: Discovery and Picard has composed the main title theme, which features elements of Alexander Courage’s theme from the original Star Trek series. Walt Disney Records has released the original song Kicks from the Disney+ original movie Sneakerella. The track written by Antonina Armato, Tim James, Thomas Armato Sturges & IN-Q (aka Adam Schmalholz) and performed by lead actor Chosen Jacobs is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Polydor Records will release the first soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ original series Slow Horses. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Academy Award and Emmy Award nominee Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-VerseSteve Jobs, Birds of Prey, Enola Holmes, King Arthur: The Legend of the Sword, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Ocean’s 8). Also included is the Mick Jagger-performed opening titles song Strange Game, which has previously been released as a digital single.
