Opening in theaters nationwide this week is the animated feature Strange World directed by Don Hall, co-directed by Qui Nguyen and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, Jaboukie Young-White and Gabrielle Union. The film’s original music composed by Henry Jackman (Wreck-It-Ralph, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Big Hero 6, X-Men: First Class, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original song written by Jackman & Kevin Del Aguila earlier this week. Also opening nationwide this week is the war drama Devotion directed by J.D. Dillard and starring Jonathan Majors, Glen Powell, Christina Jackson, Thomas Sadoski and Joe Jonas. Chanda Dancy (The Defeated, I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Aftershock) has composed the film’s original score.
