Odeon Fiction has released a soundtrack album for the German event series Bonn (Bonn – Alte Freunde, neue Feinde). The album features the show’s original music composed by Florian Tessloff (The Baader Meinhof Complex, Jasper, Sisters Apart, Love by Drowning) and performed by the WDR Funkhausorchester & WDR Big Band. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Bonn is co-written and directed by Claudia Garde and stars Mercedes Müller, Juergen Maurer, Sebastian Blomberg, Martin Wuttke, Max Riemelt, Inga Busch and Julius Feldmeier. The 6-part political thriller recounts the rise of Germany’s Federal Republic after the terror of World War II and centers on a young woman who struggles to find her own place in a male-dominated society in the 1950s. Roahn Hylton & Jacob Yoffee (The Wonder Years, Vampire Academy, Sherwood, Free Meek) have taken over scoring duties on the Peacock original series Bel-Air. They are composing the original score for the second season of the show developed by Morgan Cooper, Malcolm Spellman, TJ Brady & Rasheed Newson based on the classic sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and starring Jabari Banks, Adrian Holmes, Olly Sholotan, Coco Jones, Cassandra Freeman, Jimmy Akingbola, Akira Akbar, Jordan L. Jones and Simone Joy Jones. The new season of the drama picks up with Will at a crossroads in his life as a new figure comes into his life who challenges what he’s learned and competes for control of his influence. Because Music has released a soundtrack album for the French comedy drama Top Dogs (Les Cadors). The album features the film’s original score composed by Alex Beaupain (Beloved, Sophie’s Misfortunes, Making Plans for Lena, Brillantissime). Also included is the original song Cadors written and performed by Catherine Ringer. Justin Hurwitz has received the Golden Globe in the Original Score category for his score for Damien Chazelle’s Babylon at tonight’s 80th Golden Globe Awards ceremony. He previously won the award three times for his score and the song City of Stars from La La Land and his score from First Man. The other composers nominated in the score category were Carter Burwell (The Banshees of Inisherin), Alexandre Desplat (Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio), Hildur Guðnadóttir (Women Talking) and John Williams (The Fabelmans). Captain Duckling Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Japanese Netflix original series The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House. The album features the show’s original music composed by Yoko Kanno (Cowboy Bebop). The soundtrack will be released digitally in two different versions tomorrow, January 11. Hildur Guðnadóttir is returning to score the upcoming psychological thriller Joker: Folie à Deux. The sequel to the 2019 Joker film, for which the composer received her first Academy Award, is directed by Todd Phillips and stars Joaquin Phoenix in the title role, Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn and Zazie Beetz who reprises her role of Sophie Dumond. Lakeshore Records & Invada Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Aftersun. The album features the film’s original music composed by Oliver Coates (The StrangerSignificant Other). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 13 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Aftersun is written and directed by Charlotte Wells and stars Paul Mescal, Frankie Corio and Celia Rowlson-Hall. Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1984 drama Thief of Hearts written and directed by Douglas Day Stewart and staring Steven Bauer, Barbara Williams and John Getz. The 2-CD set features the world premiere release of the complete original score from the Don Simpson/Jerry Bruckheimer Films production composed by Harold Faltermeyer (Top Gun, Top Gun: Maverick, Beverly Hills Cop, Fletch, Tango & Cash, The Running Man), as well as unused cues and demos on the first disc and a remastered version of the original 1984 soundtrack album (released by MCA Records), as well as alternate versions of the songs on the second disc. He has composed the original score for the second season of the show created by David Weil and starring Al Pacino, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Logan Lerman, Jerrika Hinton, Lena Olin, Josh Radnor, Louis Ozawa, Tiffany Boone, Carol Kane, Kate Mulvany and Greg Austin. The new season follows the Hunters who must band back together – after an accident derails their exploits in Europe – to hunt down Adolf Hitler who is hiding  in South America.
