Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is Hope This Song Is for You co-written (with Daniel Schulz & Jeppe London) and performed by Danish singer/songwriter Christopher who also stars in the lead role. Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album for the Chinese drama The Best Is Yet to Come (Bu zhi bu xiu). The album features the film’s original music composed by Yoshihiro Hanno (Mountain May Depart, Spring Tide, Winter Boy). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. The Best Is Yet to Come is directed by Wang Jing and stars White K, Miao Miao, Zhang Songwe and Song Yang. The movie is set in 2003, in the aftermath of the SARS epidemic, and follows an idealistic journalism intern in Beijing as he faces a choice between what is right and his financial future. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the film adaptation of Judy Blume’s classic novel Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret written and directed by Kelly Fremon Craig and starring Abby Ryder Fortson, Rachel McAdams and Kathy Bates. The film’s original music is composed by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Dune, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Inception). No soundtrack album has been announced yet. Also opening wide is the biographical drama Big George Foreman directed by George Tillman Jr. and starring Khris Davis, Jasmine Mathews, Sullivan Jones, John Magaro, Lawrence Gilliard Jr. and Sonja Sohn. Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Emancipation, The Affair, Wonder, Enough Said, The Good Shepherd, Ray Donovan) has composed the film’s original music. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Producer Nina Jacobson has revealed during a recent interview at this year’s CinemaCon that Dave Cobb has co-written and produced new songs for Francis Lawrence’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. The Grammy Award-winning music producer and songwriter who is best known for his work with country music artists such as Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Sturgill Simpson & John Prine has contributed several songs, which are performed in the film by Rachel Zegler who stars in the lead role as Lucy Gray Baird.
