‘Der Tiger’ Soundtrack Released

Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the German war drama Der Tiger. The album features the film’s original music composed by Heiko Maile (Killerman, The WaveWe Are the Night, Four Hands). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s “intro” and end titles tracks below. Der Tiger is co-written and directed by Dennis Gansel and stars David Schütter, Laurence Rupp, Sebastian Urzendowsky, Leonard Kunz, Yoran Leicher, Tilman Strauss and André M. Hennicke. The movie is set in 1943 and follows the five-man crew of a German Tiger tank who is sent on a secret mission far behind the heavily contested front line and not only find themselves deeper in enemy territory but must also face their own fears and inner demons. Lucaasfilm has confirmed that Ludwig Göransson (Oppenheimer, Black Panther, Creed,TenetTurning Red, Community, Venom) is set to score upcoming Star Wars feature The Mandalorian and Grogu. The film is directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Jungle Book) and stars Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver. The movie, which continues the events of Disney+’s The Mandalorian TV series, is set after the evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy, as the fledgling New Republic has enlisted the help of a legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter and his young apprentice Grogu to protect everything the Rebellion fought for. Ego Plum (The Cuphead Show!, Jellystone, SpongeBob SquarePantsHarvey BreaksWelcome to the Waynes) has released a soundtrack album for the animated movie Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires. The album features the composer’s original music from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen Plum’s opening titles track and main theme after the jump. Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires is directed by Juan Jose Meza-Leon and stars Horacio García Rojas, Omar Chaparro & Álvaro Morte (in the movie’s Spanish language version) and Jay Hernandez and Raymond Cruz (English language version). The reimagining of the Batman legend set in the Aztec empire tells the story of a young Aztec boy who escapes to Tenochtitlán after his father is murdered by Spanish conquistadors and develops weaponry to avenge his father’s death. Premiering on Tuesday, September 23 is the FX original series The Lowdown created by Sterlin Harjo and starring Ethan Hawke, Keith David, Kyle MacLachlan, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Kaniehtiio Horn, Tim Blake Nelson, Michael “Killer Mike” Render and Tracy Letts. The show’s original music is composed by singer/songwriter and guitarist JD McPherson who has made his scoring debut on the project. The neo-noir crime drama, which revolves around a self-proclaimed Tulsa “truthstorian” whose obsession with the truth is always getting him into trouble, will air every Tuesday night on FX and will also be available to stream on Hulu.

Premiering on Wednesday, September 24, is the Prime Video original series Hotel Costiera created by Elena Bucaccio & Francesco Arlanch and starring Jesse Williams, Maria Chiara Giannetta, Jordan Alexandra, Antonio Gerardi, Sam Haygarth, Tommaso Ragno, Amanda Campana, Pierpaolo Spollon, Alejandra Onieva and Jean-Hugues Anglade. Anton Sanko (The PossessionRabbit Hole, Ouija, Big LoveThe Silent Hour, Fractured, The Half of It) has composed the show’s original music. Juri Seppä (Big GameRare Exports) & Tuomas Wäinölä (Class Reunion 3Nymphs) are returning to score the upcoming Finnish action sequel Sisu: Road to Revenge (Sisu 2). The film is written and directed by Jalmari Helander and stars Jorma Tommila, Richard Brake and Stephen Lang. The movie follows Aatami Korpi as he returns to the house where his family was brutally murdered during the war and is determined to rebuild it somewhere safe in their honor, when the Red Army commander who killed his family comes back hellbent on finishing the job. Amboss Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the second season of the German TV series Oktoberfest: Beer & Blood (Oktoberfest 1905). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by by Michael Klaukien (Goebbels and the Fuhrer, I Am Scrooge, Vares: The SheriffTatort). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list. 2 Lane Records has previously released an album featuring Klaukien’s score from the first season, entitled Oktoberfest 1900, back in 2020. Oktoberfest 1905 is created by Alexis von Wittgenstein & Ronny Schalk, directed by Stephan Lacant and stars Klaus Steinbacher, Mercedes Müller, Mišel Matičević, Martina Gedeck, Lisa Maria Potthoff and Brigitte Hobmeier. Netflix Music has released a digital single featuring two songs from the Netflix limited series Black Rabbit. Available to stream/download now on all major digital services are Turned to Black & Outside People written by Albert Hammond Jr. and performed by lead actor Jude Law. Also listen to both tracks after the jump. Available separately as a digital single is Raye’s What a Different a Day Makes cover. The label has also released a full soundtrack album featuring Danny Bensi’s & Saunder Jurriaans’ original score from the show last week. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the horror thriller Him directed by Justin Tipping and starring Marlon Wayans, Tyriq Withers, Julia Fox, Jim Jefferies and Tim Heidecker. The film’s original music is composed by Bobby Krlic (aka The Haxan Cloak) (MidsommarBeau Is Afraid, Blue BeetleBeefEddington, Eenie Meanie, Snowpiercer, Invasion, The Alienist: Angel of Darkness). Loma Vista Recordings has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as songs by Denzel Curry, Gucci Mane, Guapdad 4000, Mobb Deep and Tierra Whack today. Also opening wide is the romantic fantasy drama A Big Bold Beautiful Journey directed by Kogonada and starring Margot Robbie, Colin Farrell, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Hamish Linklater, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lily Rabe, Billy Magnussen, Yuvi Hecht, Sarah Gadon and Kevin Kline. Sonar Music will release aa soundtrack album for the Australian family adventure comedy Kangaroo. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matteo Zingales (99 Homes, The Hunter, The ConvertFahrenheit 451,  Mystery Road, Tideland) .& Josie Mann (The Speedway Murders). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 20 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to the composers’ first two tracks below. Kangaroo is directed by Kate Woods and stars Ryan Corr, Lily Whiteley and Deborah Mailman. The movie is inspired by the life of Chris ‘Brolga’ Barns, founder of The Kangaroo Sanctuary, Alice Springs and follows an ex TV personality who becomes stranded in an Outback town, where he teams up with 12-year-old Indigenous girl to rescue and rehabilitate orphaned joeys in the remote Outback community. Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for the Disney+ animated special LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past. The album features the original music from the Lucasfilm production composed by  Michael Kramer (He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, LEGO Star Wars: Terrifying Tales Summer Vacation, The Ghost and Molly McGee, Ninjago: Dragons Rising) and Roberto Prado.
