‘Zootopia 2’ to Feature Original Song ‘Zoo’ by Shakira

Shakira has recorded the original song Zoo for Walt Disney Pictures Animation’s upcoming sequel Zootopia 2. The track, which is featured in the film’s just new “final” trailer, is written by Ed Sheeran, Blake Slatkin & Shakira, produced by Slatkin, Alex (A.C.) Castillo, Shakira & Sheeran and will be released as a digital single next Friday, October 10 by Walt Disney Records. A 7″ single on purple translucent glitter vinyl is available to order on Amazon. A full soundtrack album featuring the song and 23 tracks of composer Michael Giacchino’s originala score will be coming out on November 21. Check back on this page for the full album details. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack EP for the streamer’s original film Ruth & Boaz. The 5-track EP features the songs from the movie performed by lead actress Serayah (who stars in the title of Ruth), including a cover of the gospel classic Goodness of God (performed alongside Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds). Also included is Prayer for Your Journey written by DeVon Franklin (who also serves as a producer on the film) & Brett Nolan and performed by Franklin & K-CI. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon.
