Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1993 action thriller Cliffhanger directed by Renny Harlin and starring Sylvester Stallone, John Lithgow, Michael Rooker & Janine Turner featuring music composed by Trevor Jones (The Dark Crystal, The Last of the Mohicans, Merlin, Labyrinth, Mississippi Burning, Dark City, Excalibur). The album, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 30th anniversary, features the same content as the (sold out) expanded 2017 soundtrack released by La-La Land Records. The 2-CD set, which is limited to 1,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full album details and listen to audio samples. The movie is directed by Sean Charmatz (Trolls Holiday in Harmony) and features the voice talent of Jacob Tremblay and Paul Walter Hauser. The DreamWorks Animation production is based on the book of the same title by Emma Yarlett and tells the story of an average elementary school kid who is afraid of many things, including the dark, when he is whisked onto a whirlwind adventure that might just cure him of his adolescent fears.
