Composer Alan Silvestri (Avengers: Endgame, Predator, Ready Player One, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Mummy Returns) has confirmed in a recent interview on the Maltin on Movies podcast that he is reteaming with director Robert Zemeckis on the upcoming drama Here and will start recording his score later this month. The movie starring Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Paul Bettany, Michelle Dockery & Kelly Reilly is based on Richard McGuire’s graphic novel of the same name, which is centered in one room and focuses on the many people who inhabit it over the years, from the past to the distant future. Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the horror comedy Shaky Shivers. The album features the film’s original music composed by Timo Chen (Go Back to China, Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong, Advantageous, Death of a Telemarketer). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Wednesday, September 20 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Shaky Shivers is directed by Sung Kang and stars Brooke Markham and VyVy Nguyen. The movie follows a woman who – after finding herself bitten by a mysterious animal – becomes convinced that she will transform into a fearsome werewolf and – together with her best friend – looks to battle a creature ripped right out of an 80s horror movie. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Tom Howe (Ted Lasso, Early Man, Shrinking, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Daisy Jones and the Six). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Rally Road Racers is written and directed by Ross Venokur and features the voice talent of J.K. Simmons, Jimmy O’Yang, Sharon Horgan, Chloe Bennet, Catherine Tate, Lisa Lu and John Cleese. Pathé Films has released a soundtrack album for the French horror thriller Acid (Acide). The album features the film’s original music composed by Rob (aka Robin Coudert) (Maniac, Revenge, Gretel & Hansel, Run Sweetheart Run, Other People’s Children, Horns). Also included is the original end credits track Futures by Saycet. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Acid is co-written and directed by Just Philippot and stars Guillaume Canet, Laetitia Dosch and Patience Munchenbach. The show’s original music is composed by Simon Goff. Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this year when the drama premiered in the UK on BBC One. Premiering on Tuesday, September 19, is the Netflix original documentary The Saint of Second Chances directed by Morgan Neville and narrated by Jeff Daniels. Daniel Wohl (Project Blue Book, On the Come Up, The Weekend Away, Tales of the Walking Dead, Search Party, They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead) has composed the film’s original score. The movie, which follows Mike Veeck on his journey to redeem himself after he blew up the career of his hustler father, Hall of Fame baseball owner Bill Veeck, premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix. Hollywood Records has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for the 1993 survival drama Alive directed by Frank Marshall and starring Ethan Hawke, Josh Hamilton, Bruce Ramsay, Vincent Spano, lleana Douglas, John Haymes Newton and Danny Nucci. The album features the film’s original music composed and produced by Academy Award nominee James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, The Sixth Sense, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, King Kong, Maleficent, The Fugitive). The label has previously released a CD (and cassette) version when the movie opened in theaters in 1993 and Intrada Records has released a 2-CD version featuring the composer’s expanded score in 2020.
