Varese Sarabande Records will release the soundtrack album for Kenneth Branagh’s action thriller Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. The album features the film’s original score composed by Patrick Doyle (Thor, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) who regularly works with the director. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the comedy Jewtopia. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nathan Wang (The Game Plan, She’s the Man, Rumble in the Bronx). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 10, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Jewtopia is directed by Bryan Fogel and stars Ivan Sergei, Joel David Moore, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Tom Arnold, Jon Lovitz, Nicollette Sheridan, Peter Stormare, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Wendie Malick and Rita Wilson. The movie centers on two childhood friends from different families who reunite as adults when one asks the other to help him pretend to be Jewish so he can woo a beautiful woman. Mark Mancina to Return for ‘Planes: Fire & Rescue’

Mark Mancina is set to return to compose the score for Disney’s Planes: Fire & Rescue. The sequel to this summer’s animated feature Planes is directed by Bobs Gannaway (Secret of the Wings, Stitch! The Movie) and features a crew of elite firefighting aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park from a raging wildfire. Dane Cook will once again be voicing the film’s main character of Dusty. He is joined by Julie Bowen who will appear as the voice of the new character Lil’ Dipper. The full voice cast has yet to be announced. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter is executive producing the DisneyToon Studios production. Republic Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the comedy sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. The album features the songs featured in the film performed by the movie’s characters such as Ron Burgundy, Brian Fantana, Brick Tamland and Champ Kind, including a cover version of Christopher Cross’s Ride Like The Wind by Burgundy and Robin Thicke, as well as original songs composed by the film’s composers Andrew Feltenstein and John Nau. Also featured are a number of classic songs by artists including Neil Diamond, Hot Chocolate and Kenny Loggins. The soundtrack will be released on December 17, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Mark Mothersbaugh has been tapped to score the upcoming IMAX 3D documentary Island of Lemurs: Madagascar. The film is directed by David Douglas and features trailblazing scientist Patricia Wright, an expert on lemurs and the wildlife of Madagascar where the creatures arrived as castaways millions of years ago and evolved into hundreds of diverse and now endangered species. Morgan Freeman is narrating the movie. Drew Fellman has written the screenplay and is also producing the project. Mothersbaugh has previously scored the IMAX documentary Born to be Wild 3D in 2011, which was produced by Fellman, narrated by Freeman and on which Douglas served as the director of cinematography. Redwood Entertainment has released the soundtrack album for the Turkish drama The Butterfly’s Dream in the United States. The album features the film’s original music composed, arranged and produced by Rahman Altin who was honored with the Public Choice Award at this year’s World Soundtrack Awards ceremony in Ghent for his work on the movie. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon and is also available physically. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. The Butterfly’s Dream directed by Yilmaz Ertoğan is set in the 1940s during World War II in the Black Sea city of Zonguldak and tells the story of two poets who both fall sick with tuberculosis and fall in love with the same woman. The movie was released in Turkey this past February and was selected to represent the country as its entry for Best Foreign Language Film for 2014’s Academy Awards and Golden Globe Awards.
