mob-cityPremiering on Wednesday, December 4, is the new TNT original series Mob City created by Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Walking Dead) and starring Jon Bernthal, Ed Burns, Neal McDonough and Jeremy Luke. The drama’s original score is composed by Mark Isham (Once Upon a Time, Crash) who has previously collaborated with Darabont on the features The Majestic and The Mist. The show is based on the real-life accounts of the cops and gangsters of Los Angeles in the 1940s and tells the story of the violent crime underbelly of America’s most glamorous city and those who wanted to control it. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ingo Ludwig Frenzel (Love in Thoughts, Young Goethe in Love). The album features the film’s original score composed by Ramin Djawadi (Pacific Rim, Game of Thrones, Iron Man). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 16, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. The House of Magic is directed by Ben Stassen and Jeremy Degruson and follows an abandoned young cat who seeking shelter from a storm and stumbles into a strange house owned by an old magician and inhabited by an array of automatons and gizmos. frozenOpening nationwide this holiday weekend after a 5-day exclusive engagement at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre is Disney’s animated feature Frozen directed by Jennifer Lee & Chris Buck and featuring the voice talent of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad, Santino Fontana, Alan Tudyk and Ciarán Hinds. Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez have written the film’s original songs and Christophe Beck (The Muppets, The Hangover) has composed the original score. homefrontAlso opening wide is the action thriller Homefront directed by Gary Fleder and starring Jason Statham, James Franco, Winona Ryder, Frank Grillo, Kate Bosworth and Rachelle Lefevre. The film’s original score is composed by Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time) who has previously collaborated with the director several times, including on such films as Kiss the GirlsDon’t Say a Word and The Express. No soundtrack album has been announced yet. Homefront centers on a former drug enforcement agent and family man who moves off the grid with his daughter to a seemingly quiet bayou backwater to escape his troubled past. The album features the film’s original music composed by Frank Ilfman (Nemesis Game). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 17, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. Big Bad Wolves is written and directed by Aharon Keshales & Navot Papushado and stars Lior Ashkenazi, Tzahi Grad, Rotem Keinan and Dov Glickman. The movie centers on a series of  murders that puts the lives of three men on a collision course – the father of the latest victim, a vigilante police detective and the main suspect in the killings. The film marks the directorial debut of actress Courteney Cox (Friends, Scream) and stars Seann William Scott, Kate Walsh, Olivia Thirlby, Garret Dillahunt and Kyle Gallner. The movie follows a depressed man who heads back to his hometown to right some wrongs before committing suicide. David Flebotte (Boardwalk EmpireDesperate Housewives, Will & Grace) has written the screenplay. Cox is also producing the project for her Coquette Productions company with David Arquette and Thea Mann (Cougar Town), alongside Gabriel Cowan & John Suits (Bad Milo, Static) of New Artists Alliance. ‘Police Academy’ Soundtrack Announced

police-academyLa-La Land Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1984 comedy classic Police Academy directed by Hugh Wilson and starring Steve Guttenberg, George Gaynes, Kim Cattrall and G.W. Bailey. The album features the complete score from the film composed by Robert Folk (Ace Ventura 2: When Nature Calls, Tremors, Nothing to Lose). Also included as a bonus track is El Bimbo performed by Jean-Marc Dompierre and His Orchestra and used in the movie for the film’s Blue Oyster Bar. The soundtrack for the Warner Bros. jewtopiaMilan Records will release a soundtrack album for the comedy Jewtopia. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nathan Wang (The Game Plan, She’s the Man, Rumble in the Bronx). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 10, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Jewtopia is directed by Bryan Fogel and stars Ivan Sergei, Joel David Moore, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Tom Arnold, Jon Lovitz, Nicollette Sheridan, Peter Stormare, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Wendie Malick and Rita Wilson. The movie centers on two childhood friends from different families who reunite as adults when one asks the other to help him pretend to be Jewish so he can woo a beautiful woman. planes-2Mark Mancina is set to return to compose the score for Disney’s Planes: Fire & Rescue. The sequel to this summer’s animated feature Planes is directed by Bobs Gannaway (Secret of the Wings, Stitch! The Movie) and features a crew of elite firefighting aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park from a raging wildfire. Dane Cook will once again be voicing the film’s main character of Dusty. He is joined by Julie Bowen who will appear as the voice of the new character Lil’ Dipper. The full voice cast has yet to be announced. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter is executive producing the DisneyToon Studios production.
