The details of the two soundtrack albums for the second season of NBC’s Hannibal have been revealed. The albums feature selections from the original score of the show composed by Brian Reitzell (30 Days of Night, Boss, Stranger Than Fiction, Friday Night Lights). Both albums will be released digitally on September 2, 2014. The Season 2 – Volume 1 soundtrack is available for pre-order on Amazon and click here to pre-order the Season 2 – Volume 2 soundtrack. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary My Life Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn. The album features the film’s original music composed by Cliff Martinez (Traffic, Spring Breakers, Solaris) who composed the score for Winding Refn’s last two features Drive and Only God Forgives. Also included is the track Disconnected by Julian Winding. No domestic release date has been announced yet, but the soundtrack is already available in a couple of international territories. My Life Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn is directed by Liv Corfixen and follows the Danish filmmaker on the set of Only God Forgives starring Ryan Gosling in Thailand. Stephen Warbeck has been hired to score the upcoming thriller The Forger. The film is directed by Philip Martin (Wallander) and stars John Travolta, Christopher Plummer, Tye Sheridan, Jennifer Ehle, Anson Mount, Abigail Spencer and Marcus Thomas. The movie follows a second-generation petty thief who arranges to buy his way out of prison to spend time with his ailing son and reteams with his father to carry out one last big job for the syndicate. Richard D’Ovidio (The Call, Exit Wounds) has written the screenplay. Al Corley & Bart Rosenblatt (You Kill Me, Drowning Mona) are producing the project for Coce Entertainment, alongsid Lisa Wilson & Myles Nestel (Laggies) for Solution Entertainment Group and Rob Carliner (Crazy Heart, The Apostle). Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1989 romantic comedy Her Alibi directed by Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy) and starring Tom Selleck, Paulina Porizkova and James Farentino. The album features the film’s complete original score composed and conducted by Georges Delerue (Platoon, Steel Magnolias, Twins), including music deleted from the picture, as well as the composer’s own original source music. Composers John Ottman (The Usual Suspects, X-Men: Days of Future Past), Michael Price (Sherlock, Horrid Henry: The Movie), Peter Golub (Frozen Rivers, The Great Debaters) and Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Young Sherlock Holmes, Tombstone) will be attending the 4th Annual Transatlantyk Festival Poznań. The international film and music festival will begin on August 8, 2014 in Poznan, Poland and will showcase film and music from all around the world, presenting both legendary and new artists’ work. The participating composers will sit on the jury of the international composition competition held at the Festival, and Broughton will lead master classes and meetings with the authors moderated by film music journalist Tim Burden. Atlantic Records and Paramount Pictures will release a score album for the action adventure Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brian Tyler (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, Fast & Furious, Thor: The Dark World). The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 5, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. As previously reported, Atlantic Records has released the end credits song Shell Shocked, which features the composer’s main theme, as a single. Walt Disney Pictures has confirmed today that Danny Elfman will be returning to score the upcoming fantasy adventure sequel Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass. The film is directed by James Bobin (The Muppets, Muppets Most Wanted) and stars Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, Rhys Ifans, Matt Lucas, Ed Speleer and Sacha Baron Cohen. The movie’s voice cast includes Stephen Fry, Toby Jones, Alan Rickman, Michael Sheen, Timothy Spall, Paul Whitehouse and Barbara Windsor.
