‘Still Alice’ Soundtrack Announced

still-aliceNettwerk has announced a soundtrack release for the indie drama Still Alice. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, The Young Victoria, The Invisible Woman, Layer Cake). Also included is a cover of Lyle Lovett’s If I Had A Boat by British musician Karen Elson, which plays during the film’s end credits. The soundtrack will be released on January 13, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Click here to listen to a couple of tracks from the score. Still Alice is directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland and stars Julianne Moore who received a SAG Awards and Golden Globe nomination for her performance last week. Kristen Stewart, Alec Baldwin, Kate Bosworth and Hunter Parrish are co-starring. The movie follows a linguistics professor who is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. now-you-see-meBrian Tyler is officially set to score the upcoming sequel Now You See Me: The Second Act. The film is directed by Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: RetaliationStep Up 2 & 3D) and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman who reprise their roles from the original movie. They are joined by Daniel Radcliffe, Lizzy Caplan and Jay Chou. The thriller takes place a year after the first part and follows the Four Horsemen who find themselves face to face with a new enemy who enlists them to pull off their most dangerous heist yet. Ed Solomon (Men in BlackBill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure) & Pete Chiarelli (The Proposal) have written the screenplay. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marc Streitenfeld (The Grey, American Gangster, Robin Hood, PrometheusBody of Lies). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 23, 2014 by Lakeshore Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. digging-for-fireDan Romer has been tapped to score the upcoming indie comedy Digging for Fire. The film is directed by Joe Swanberg (Drinking Buddies, Happy Christmas) and stars Jake Johnson, Rosemarie Dewitt, Orlando Bloom, Brie Larson, Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick. The movie follows a husband and wife who discover a bone and a gun, which leads them to separate adventures over the course of a weekend. Swanberg has also co-written the screenplay with Johnson. The album features the one-hour special’s songs written by Matthew Sklar, as well as selections from the score composed by Sklar and Christopher Guardino. Elf: Buddy’s Musical Christmas is directed by Mark Caballero & Seamus Walsh and featuring the voices of Jim Parsons, Mark Hamill, Ed Asner, Fred Armisen, Jay Leno, Matt Lauer, Rachael MacFarlane, Max Charles, Gilbert Gottfried, Kate Micucci and Steve Higgins. The Warner Bros. brooklynMichael Brook is composing the music for the upcoming romance Brooklyn. The film is directed by John Crowley (Boy A, Intermission, Closed Circuit) and stars Saoirse Ronan, Domhnall Gleeson, Emory Cohen, Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent. The movie is based on the novel by Colm Toibin and follows a young Irish immigrant who is navigating her way through 1950s Brooklyn and must confront a terrible dilemma — a heartbreaking choice between two men and two countries, between duty and true love. Nick Hornby (About a Boy, High Fidelity) has written the screenplay. Finola Dwyer (Quartet, Severance) and Amanda Posey (An Education, Fever Pitch) are producing the project. don-verdeanIlan Eshkeri has been hired to score the upcoming comedy Don Verdean. The film is directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre) and stars Sam Rockwell, Jemaine Clement, Amy Ryan, Danny McBride, Leslie Bibb and Will Forte. The movie follows a Biblical archaeologist who is hired by a local church pastor to find faith-promoting relics in the Holy Land and is forced to get creative after a fruitless expedition. The director has also co-written the screenplay with Jerusha Hess. Brandt Andersen, Dave Hunter and Jason Hatfield are producing the project.
