sanjays-super-teamMychael Danna has been tapped to compose the music for the upcoming Pixar animated short Sanjay’s Super Team. The film is directed by animator Sanjay Patel who makes his directorial debut and follows a young Indian boy who is watching cartoons on TV and begins “daydreaming a kind of ancient, Hindu version of “The Avengers,” with the gods appearing like superheroes.” Nicole Paradis Grindle is producing the short, which marks Danna’s first project for Pixar Animation and his second animated film following 2007’s Surf’s Up. goosebumpsDirector Rob Letterman confirmed in a recent interview with Collider that Danny Elfman is currently scoring the upcoming Goosebumps. The film directed by Letterman (Monsters vs. Aliens, Gulliver’s Travels) stars Jack Black, Dylan Minnette, Odeya Rush, Amy Ryan, Jillian Bell, Ryan Lee and Ken Marino. The movie is based on the book series of the same title and follows a teenager who moves to a small town and meets the beautiful girl next door whose mysterious dad is revealed to be R. L. Stine, the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series. Darren Lemke (Jack the Giant Slayer, Turbo) and Mike White (School of Rock) wrote the screenplay based on a story by Scott Alexander & Larry Karaszewski (Ed Wood, Big Eyes) and Lemke. The album features the songs from the film, including the opening titles track Who Can You Trust by Ivy Levan, Mika’s Boum Boum Boum, Inna’s Cola Song feat. J Balvin, Santigold’s GO! feat. Karen O, Serebro’s Mi Mi Mi, Iggy Azalea’s Bounce and 50 Cent’s Twisted feat. Mr. Probz. Also included are two tracks by Verka Serduchka, as well as songs by Gin Wigmore, Heartsrevolution, Nicolay Mondaine feat. Texac, Ida Maria and Bad Seed Rising. The soundtrack will be released physically and digitally on June 2, 2015 by Milan Records and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. vacationMark Mothersbaugh has composed the score for the upcoming reboot of Vacation. The comedy is directed by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley and stars Ed Helms, Christina Applegate, Chris Hemsworth, Charlie Day, Skyler Gisondo and Steele Stebbins. Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo reprise their roles from the classic National Lampoon’s Vacation movies. The movie follows a grown-up Rusty Griswold who surprises his wife and their two sons with a cross-country trip back to America’s “favorite family fun park” Walley World. Goldstein & Daley (screenwriters of Horrible Bosses Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2) wrote the script based on characters by John Hughes. nashville-3Big Machine Records will release a new soundtrack album for the ABC drama Nashville. The album feature songs from the third season of the show performed by cast members including Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Charles Esten, Lennon & Maisy, Will Chase, Aubrey Peeoples, Chris Carmack and Laura Benanti. The Season 3 – Volume 2 soundtrack will be released digitally on May 18, 2015 and a CD version with two exclusive tracks will be available at Target.
