Alica Keys has recorded an original song for Davis Guggenheim’s upcoming documentary He Named Me Malala. The song is entitled Story to Tell and is performed by the Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter and produced by Rick Rubin. The track will be included on the official soundtrack album for the film, which also features the movie’s original score by Thomas Newman and will be released on October 2, 2015 by Sony Classical. A soundtrack album for the documentary Ingrid Bergman in Her Own Words has been announced. The album features the film’s original music written by Golden Globe-nominated composer Michael Nyman (The Piano, Gattaca, The End of the Affair, Ravenous). The soundtrack will be released digitally overseas on August 31, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Ingrid Bergman in Her Own Words is directed by Stig Bjorkman and focuses on actress Ingrid Bergman (Casablanca, Notorious) through exclusive private footage, notes, letters, diaries and interviews with her children and former colleagues. The show is created by author Tom Rob Smith (Child 44) and stars Ben Whishaw, Jim Broadbent, Charlotte Rampling and Edward Holcroft. The five-parter centers around a chance romance between two people from very different worlds, one from the headquarters of the Secret Intelligence Service, the other from a world of clubbing and youthful excess. Premiering tonight is the AMC original series Fear the Walking Dead starring Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Mercedes Mason. The spin-off of the hit series The Walking Dead features original music composed by Paul Haslinger (Underworld, Halt and Catch Fire, Death Race, The Three Musketeers). The film follows two down-on-their-luck guys who decide to fake their own deaths and start over with new identities, only to find the people they’re pretending to be are in even deeper trouble. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the action thriller Hitman: Agent 47 directed by Aleksander Bach and starring Rupert Friend, Hannah Ware, Zachary Quinto, Ciarán Hinds and Thomas Kretschmann. The film’s original music is composed by Marco Beltrami (World War Z, The Wolverine, Scream, The Hurt Locker). La-La Land Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music next week. Also opening wide is the action comedy American Ultra directed by Nima Nourizadeh and starring Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, Topher Grace, Connie Britton, Tony Hale, John Leguizamo, Bill Pullman and Walton Goggins. Marcelo Zarvos (The Affair, Ray Donavan, Remember Me, Enough Said) has composed the film’s original score. No word yet on a soundtrack album. American Ultra follows a seemingly hapless and unmotivated stoner whose small-town life with his live-in girlfriend is suddenly turned upside down when he finds out that he is actually a highly trained, lethal sleeper agent. Nathan Halpern has been tapped to score the upcoming indie drama Sticky Notes. The film marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Amanda Harlib and stars Rose Leslie, Ray Liotta, Justin Bartha and Gina Rodriguez. The movie follows a backup dancer who returns home to Florida to help care for her estranged father after he’s diagnosed with cancer. The album features the film’s original music composed by tomandandy (The Mothman Prophecies, The Strangers, Resident Evil: Retribution, The Rules of Attraction).
