Republic Records and Fox Music have announced the details of the soundtrack album for the family movie Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip. The album features the songs from the film, including cover versions of Uptown Funk, Turn Down For What, as well as a collaboration with Redfoo. Also included is Thomas Rhett’s South Side, Sheppard’s hit song Geronimo and The Score’s Oh My Love. The soundtrack will be released on December 11, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. ‘The Fencer’ Soundtrack Announced

Königskinder Music will release a soundtrack album for the drama The Fencer (Miekkailija). The album features the film’s original music composed by Gert Wilden Jr.. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 10, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. The Fencer is directed by Klaus Härö and marks the Finnish entry for the Best Foreign Language category at the next Academy Awards. The movie starring Lembit Ulfsak, Mart Avandi, Ursula Ratasepp, Ann-Lisett Rebane, Piret Kalda and Liisa Koppel tells the true story of Endel Nelis, an Estonian Fencing coach who established a school in the Soviet 1950s that still trains fencers to this day. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the SundanceTV original series Deutschland 83. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Reinhold Heil (Run Lola Run, Cloud Atlas, Helix, Legends, The International). The soundtrack is now available digitally in Germany and a CD release is set for next month. The album will be released in the U.S. on December 11 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Deutschland 83 is created by Anna & Joerg Winger and stars Jonas Nay, Maria Schrader, Ulrich Noethen, Sylvester Groth, Errol T. Harwood and Sonja Gerhardt. The series follows a 24-year-old East Germany native who is sent to the west as an undercover spy for the Stasi foreign service to gather the secrets of NATO military strategy. Michael Giacchino to Score Brad Bird’s ‘The Incredibles 2’

Brad Bird announced today on Twitter that Michael Giacchino has signed on to compose the music for Pixar’s upcoming sequel The Incredibles 2. The composer was previously attached and expected to score the film given his involvement in the original movie, as well as Bird’s other last three features, Ratatouille, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and Tomorrowland. The video features interviews with the film’s composer Ludwig Goransson, director Ryan Coogler, editor Michael Shawver, co-writer Aaron Covington, as well as Goransson’s family. The composer who also appears in the movie in two scenes as a member of Tessa Thompson’s character’s band talks about his musical background, his collaboration with the director and the influence of Bill Conti’s classic Rocky score. Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the horror comedy Krampus. The album features the film’s original music composed by Douglas Pipes (Monster House, Trick ‘r Treat), as well as bonus track of the popular tune Carol of the Bells, rewritten and retitled Krampus Karol of the Bells. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 4, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Waxwork Records will be distributing a vinyl version. Krampus is written and directed by Michael Dougherty and stars Adam Scott, Toni Collette, David Koechner, Emjay Anthony, Allison Tolman, Conchata Ferrell, Stefania Lavie Owen and Krista Stadler. Eric Copeland is scoring the upcoming horror thriller Antibirth. The film is written and directed by Danny Perez and stars Natasha Lyonne, Chloë Sevigny, Mark Webber, Meg Tilly and Maxwell McCabe-Lokos. The movie follows a wild-eyed stoner living in a barren desert community who seems to be growing pregnant as rumours of aliens spread. Lyonne is also producing the project with Cole Payne (Downloading Nancy, Cavemen, Roger M. Mayer, David Anselmo and Justin Kelly.
