The album features the show’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest HotelGodzillaHarry Potter and the Deathly HallowsThe King’s Speech) and Jean-Pasccal Beintus (United Passions). Also included is the song Ya Sidi by Orange Blossom. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 6, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Marseille is created by Dan Franck and stars Gérard Depardieu, Benoît Magimel, Géraldine Pailhas, Nadia Farès, Gérard Meylan, Nassim Si Ahmed, Antoine Coesens, Nozha Khouadra and Maruschka Detmers. The political drama directed by Florentine-Emilio Siri & Thomas Gilou centers around the city election between the long-time mayor Robert Taro and a younger ambitious candidate. imageIntrada Records has announced the first release of the complete score for the 2004 thriller Collateral directed by Michael Mann and starring Tom Cruise, Jamie Foxx, Jada Pinkett Smith and Mark Ruffalo. The album features the film’s original music composed by James Newton Howard (The Sixth Sense, The Hunger Games, The Fugitive, King Kong), including tracks not used in the final version of the movies, as well as alternate cues. The previous soundtrack album released by RCA Records only featured four short scores tracks in addition to the songs from the film. petes-dragonDaniel Hart has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming family adventure Pete’s Dragon and is currently recording his score at AIR Studios in London. The film is directed by David Lowery and stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Oakes Fegley, Wes Bentley, Karl Urban, Oona Laurence and Robert Redford. The movie is based on the 1977 classic of the same title and tells the story of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon.. Lowery also co-wrote the screenplay with Toby Halbrooks. Jim Whitaker (The Odd Life of Timothy GreenThe Finest Hours) is producing the project. The movie centers on Callum Lynch as he explores the memories of his ancestor and gains the skills of a Master Assassin. The drama is directed by Peter Webber (The Girl with the Pearl Earring, Emperor, Hannibal Rising) and stars Max Irons and Sam Neill. The 4-parter tells the story of Howard Carter’s discovery of the tomb of one of Ancient Egypt’s forgotten pharaohs, the boy-king Tutankhamun. Guy Burt (Jekyll and Hyde, The Bletchley Circle, The Borgias) has written the scripts for all four parts. Francis Hopkinson (Home Fires,) and Catherine Oldfield (Foyle’s War) are executive producing the ITV Studios production and Simon Lewis (The C Word, The Paradise) is producing the project. imageVarese Sarabande has announced a Blu-ray release of the Hollywood in Vienna 2013 Film Music Gala, which featured late composer James Horner as an honored guest and recipient of the Max Steiner Award. David Newman conducted the ORF Vienna Radio-Symphony Orchestra at the Vienna Konzerthaus. The Blu-ray features the concert gala, including performances of several scores composed by Horner including Titanic, Braveheart, Legends of the Fall and Avatar, as well as songs from The Land Before Time and An American Tail performed by Deborah Cox and Jeremy Schonfeld. The film’s original music is composed by John Debney (The Passion of the ChristThe Jungle BookElfIron Man 2) who previously scored Valentine’s DayNew Year’s Eve and The Princess Diaries movies for the director.
