Sony Masterworks will release the official soundtrack album for the coming-of-age dramedy The Edge of Seventeen. The album features the songs from the film by artists including Santigold, Aimee Mann, The Struts, A$AP Ferg, Handsome Poets, Mike Snow, Cloves, Black Pistol Fire & more. Also included are two tracks from the film’s original score composed by Atli Orvarsson (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, The Eagle). The soundtrack will be released on November 18, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Edge of Seventeen is written and directed by Kelly Fremon Craig and stars Hailee Steinfeld, Woody Harrelson, Kyra Sedgwick, Haley Lu Richardson, Blake Jenner and Hayden Szeto. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Bilal: A New Breed of Hero!. The album features the film’s original music composed by Atli Orvarsson (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, Rams, The Edge of Seventeen, The Eagle) who recorded his orchestral score at Abbey Road Studios in London. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 28, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Bilal is directed by Ayman Jamal and Khurram Alavi and features the voices Ian McShane, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Thomas Ian Nicholas and Michael Gross. The movie is inspired by the true story of Bilal Ibn Rabah, a freed slave of Ethiopian origin who fought for equality and justice.

Keefus Ciancia is composing the score for the new USA original series Eyewitness. The show is created by Adi Hasak (Shades of Blue, 3 Days to Kill) based on the Norwegian crime thriller Øyevitne and stars Julianne Nicholson, Gil Bellows, Warren Christie, Tattiawna Jones, Matt Murray, James Paxton and Tyler Young. The anthology series’ first season follows two innocent teenage boys who bear witness to a triple-homicide while in the midst of a romantic encounter. Hasak is also executive producing the Universal Cable production with Jarl Emsell Larsen, Scott Peters (V, The 4400), Jackie de Crinis, as well as Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight, Thirteen, Lords of Dogtown) who also directed the first two episodes.
