Jon Ehrlich & Jason Derlatka and Black Violin are composing the music for the new Fox drama Pitch. The show is created by Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love, Tangled, Galavant, Danny Collins) & Rick Singer and stars Kylie Bunbury, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos, Dan Lauria, Mo McRae, Meagan Holder and Tim Jo. The series tells the story of Ginny Baker, who becomes the first woman to play Major League Baseball – under the glare of a white-hot media spotlight. ‘Southside with You’ Score Album Released

IM Global Music has released a second soundtrack for the drama Southside with You. The album features the film’s original score composed by Emmy Award nominee Stephen James Taylor (Timon & Pumbaa, Teacher’s Pet, The Glass Shield). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. As previously announced, Columbia Records has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie. Michael Giacchino has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming Star Wars spin-off Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The composer is replacing Alexandre Desplat who was originally scoring the film directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) and starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed and Forest Whitaker. Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for the animated series Star Wars Rebels. The album features selections from the original music of the show’s first season composed by Kevin Kiner (Star Wars: the Clone Wars, Hell on Wheels, CSI: Miami). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 16 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Star Wars Rebels is executive produced by Simon Kinberg, Dave Filoni & Greg Weisman and features the voices of Freddie Prinze, Jr., Taylor Gray, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar and Vanessa Marshall. Rolfe Kent has recently composed the original score for the upcoming romantic comedy Crash Pad. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Academy Award-nominated editor Kevin Tent (The Descendants, Nebraska) and stars Domhnall Gleeson, Christina Applegate, Thomas Haden Church and Nina Dobrev. The movie follows a hopeless romantic who thinks he’s found true love with an older woman, only to learn that she’s married and that his fling is merely an instrument of revenge against her neglectful husband. Copticon Music will release a soundtrack album for the documentary The Lovers & the Despot. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nathan Halpern (Rich Hill, Marina Abramovic: The Artist Is Present). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 23, 2016. The Lovers & the Despot is directed by Robert Cannan & Ross Adam and tells the story of young, ambitious South Korean filmmaker Shin Sang-ok and actress Choi Eun-hee, who met and fell in love in 1950s post-war Korea. John Powell confirmed in a recent interview with Omar Crook on the Living with a Genius podcast that he is reteaming with director Carlos Saldanha on the upcoming animated feature Ferdinand. The movie is based on the the children’s book The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf & Robert Lawson and revolves around a bull who doesn’t want to fight in the bullfighting arena like so many of his brethren but instead just wants to smell the flowers.
