jonny-greenwoodFocus Features has confirmed today that Jonny Greenwood will be reteaming with director Paul Thomas Anderson on his next, currently untitled project. The movie starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Lesley Manville and Vicky Krieps is set in the couture world of 1950s London and centers on the life behind the curtain of an uncompromising dressmaker commissioned by royalty and high society. Anderson who also wrote the screenplay is producing the project with JoAnne Sellar (MagnoliaBoogie Nights) and Megan Ellison (HerSausage PartyZero Dark ThirtySpring Breakers) through her Annapurna Pictures company. guerrillaMax Richter is scoring the upcoming Showtime original series Guerrilla. The show is created John Ridley (12 Years a SlaveAmerican Crime) and stars Idris Elba, Frieda Pinto and Babou Ceesay. The drama tells the story of a politically active couple whose relationship and values are tested when they liberate a political prisoner and form a radical underground cell in 1970s London. Ridley who is also directing the first two and final episodes and Elba are also executive producing the Fifty Fathoms and ABC Signature production with Michael J. The film is directed by Carlos Vermut (Magical Girl, Diamond Flash) and stars Najwa Nimri, Carme Elías and Eva Llorach. The movie centers on a world-famous singer who loses her memory in an accident. Her number one fan helps her to remember who she was. Enrique López Lavigne (The Impossible, 28 Weeks Later, Open Windows, Intruders) is producing the project for Apache Films. supergirlCrazy Ex-Girlfriend creator, songwriter and star Rachel Bloom has written an original song for the upcoming crossover episodes of The CW’s The Flash and Supergirl. The song entitled Superfriends will be performed by Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist. In addition, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who contributed the lyrics to Justin Hurwitz’s songs from La La Land and wrote the score for the stage musicals Dear Evan Hansen and Dogfight, have composed the original song Runnin’ Home to You, which will be performed by Gustin. Blake Neely who is scoring both shows, as well as the network’s ArrowLegends of Tomorrow and Riverdale serves as the music director of the project. The show is created by David Slack (MacGyverPerson of Interest), Matt Nix (Burn Notice) & Trey Callaway (CSI: NY) and stars Justin Kirk, Natalie Martinez, Caitlin Stasey, Ernie Hudson, Taylor Handley and Tamberla Perry. The film marks the directorial debut of actor Max Minghella and is being described as an “underdog story set in the world of pop-music, about growing up, dreaming big, and finding your voice.” Minghella also wrote the screenplay, which he developed with actor Jamie Bell who will be executive producing the movie. The show is created by Jonathan Abrahams (Mad Men, Murder in the First) and stars Josh Henderson, Christine Evangelista, Lexa Doig and Michael Vartan. The drama revolves around a television actress who is offered a $10 million marriage contract with Hollywood’s biggest star.
