Nathan Barr is currently scoring the upcoming indie drama The Parting Glass. The film marks the feature directorial debut of actor Stephen Moyer and stars Anna Paquin, Denis O’Hare, Ed Asner, Cynthia Nixon, Melissa Leo, Rhys Ifans and Paul Gross. The movie follows a family reeling with their sister’s death as they embark on a journey to collect the remnants of her life. O’Hare also wrote the screenplay. Paquin and Moyer are also producing the project for CASM Films, alongside O’Hare, as well as Cerise Hallam (I Could Never Be Your Woman, Free Ride) and Mark Larkin. The movie is based on Doug Stanton’s book of the same title and centers on a U.S. Special Forces team and their captain after they are dispatched to a mountainous region of Afghanistan in the weeks immediately following 9/11. ‘American Gods’ Soundtrack Details

The details of the first full soundtrack album for the Starz original series American Gods have been revealed. The album features selections from the show’s original score composed by Brian Reitzell (Hannibal, Friday Night Lights, Stranger Than Fiction, 30 Days of Night). Also included are original songs written for the series by Reitzell and Mark Lanegan, Blondie’s Debbie Harry and Garbage’s Shirley Manson. Several songs, as well as Reitzell’s main title theme have already been released as digital singles. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 9, 2017 and physically the following month. The 4-parter is directed by Oliver Stone who, alongside his longtime documentary producer Fernando Sulichin, interviewed the Russian president Vladimir Putin more than a dozen times over the course of two years, most recently in February following the U.S. presidential elections. The series provides intimate insight into Putin’s personal and professional lives, from his childhood under communism, to his rise to power, his relations with four U.S. presidents, and his surprising takes on U.S.-Russian relations today.
