Lorne Balfe (The LEGO Batman Movie, Terminator Genisys, The Crown, Home) has recently composed the score for the upcoming sci-fi action adventure Pacific Rim Uprising. The film is directed by Steven S. DeKnight (Daredevil, Spartacus) and stars John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Jing Tian, Cailee Spaeny, Rinko Kikuchi, Burn Gorman, Adria Arjona and Charlie Day. The movie follows Jake Pentecost, son of Stacker Pentecost, as he reunites with Mako Mori to lead a new generation of Jaeger pilots against a new Kaiju threat. Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the revenge thriller Death Wish. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ludwig Goransson (Black Panther, Creed, Community, Fruitvale Station, Everything, Everything). The soundtrack will be released on February 23, 2018 and will be available for pre-order here within the next couple of days. Death Wish is directed by Eli Roth and stars Bruce Willis, Vincent D’Onofrio, Elisabeth Shue, Camila Morrone, Dean Norris and Kimberly Elise. The movie is based on the 1974 classic of the same title and follows a mild-mannered father who is transformed into a killing machine after his family is torn apart by a violent act. The show  is developed by Greg Mottola (Superbad, Adventureland, Paul) & Bryan Cranston and stars Gabriel Bateman, Chris Diamantopoulos, Erinn Hayes, Drew Logan Powell and Kyan Zielinski. The comedy is based on Conn & Hal Iggulden’s book of the same name and follows boy named Wyatt and his brothers as they deal with the death of their father who leaves his sons a copy of The Dangerous Book for Boys, which inspires a whimsical fantasy world that allows Wyatt to feel connected to his father while gaining skills that apply to his real life. ‘Sparring’ Soundtrack Announced

EuropaCorp will release a soundtrack album for the French boxing drama Sparring. The album features the film’s original music composed by Olivia Merilahti of the French indie rock band The Dø. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 26 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Sparring is co-written and directed by Samuel Jouy and stars Mathieu Kassovitz, Olivia Merilahti, Malik Bine, Zakariya Gouram, Jolente De Keersmaeker, Souleymane M’Bay and Billie Blain. The movie follows a washed-up small-time boxer at the end of his career who accepts an offer than many would turn down flat: being the sparring partner to emerging champion. The album features a selection of original songs from the show written by Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd and “Jingle” Jared Gutstadt. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 31, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Step Up: High Water is created by Holly Sorensen and stars Ne-Yo, Naya Rivera, Lauryn McClain, Petrice Jones, Faizon Love and Marcus Mitchell. Abel Korzeniowski has been hired to score the upcoming Hulu horror fantasy drama Locke & Key. The show is developed by Joe Hill & Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel, The Strain) based on the IDW comic by Hill & Gabriel Rodriguez and stars Frances O’Connor, Nate Corddry, Jack Mulhern, Danny Glover, Owen Teague, Jackson Robert Scott and Megan Charpentier. The series follows three siblings who, after the gruesome murder of their father, move to their ancestral home in Maine with their mother, only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities. Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for Robert Zemeckis’ 1988 classic Who Framed Roger Rabbit starring Bob Hoskins, Christopher Lloyd, Stubby Kaye, Charles Fleischer and Joanna Cassidy. The 3-CD set features the complete original score from the Touchstone Pictures production composed and conducted by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, The Avengers, Cast Away, The Croods, Captain America: The First Avenger), including more than 50 minutes of previously unreleased music, as well as alternate cues on the first two discs and the content of the original 1988 album on the third disc.
