Manners McDade has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC crime drama Happy Valley. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first two seasons composed by Ben Foster (Torchwood, Thunderbirds Are Go, Noble). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 1, 2017 and will be available to download on Amazon. Happy Valley is created and written by Sally Wainwright and stars Sarah Lancashire, Steve Pemberton, Siobhan Finneran, George Costigan and Charlie Murphy. Stuart Earl is composing the music for the upcoming BBC mini-series Ordeal by Innocence. The drama is written by Sarah Phelps (The Casual Vacancy, The Crimson Field) based on Agatha Christie’s classic novel and stars Bill Nighy, Catherine Keener, Matthew Goode, Eleanor Tomlinson, Anthony Boyle, Luke Treadaway, Morven Christie, Crystal Clarke, Ella Purnell and Alice Eve. Sandra Goldbacher (Victoria, The Hour) is directing the 3-parter, which revolves around the murder of a wealthy philanthropist in 1954, and Roopesh Parekh (Poldark) is producing the series. Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the drama Before I Fall. The album features the film’s original music composed by Adam Taylor (The Handmaid’s Tale, Meadowland, Damnation). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, December 1 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Before I Fall is directed by Ry Russo-Young and stars Zoey Deutch, Halston Sage, Logan Miller, Kian Lawley, Elena Kampouris, Diego Boneta, Jennifer Beals, Cynthy Wu and Medalion Rahimi. The movie is based on the 2010 novel of same title by Lauren Oliver and follows a young woman who is stuck reliving the day of her death during one inexplicable week and untangles the mystery surrounding her death. Danny Elfman is set to score the upcoming animated feature How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The film is directed by Pete Candeland & Yarrow Cheney (The Secret Life of Pets) and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of the title character. The movie is based on Dr. Seuss’ classic tale about the titular grouch who plots to ruin Christmas for the residents of his neighboring village of Whoville. Michael LeSieur (You, Me and Dupree) wrote the screenplay. Mondo has released a new soundtrack album for the comedy Ingrid Goes West. The album features the film’s original music composed by Islands frontman Nick Thorburn and Jonathan Sadoff (Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, The Meddler, The Mick). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Lakeshore Records has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie earlier this year. Ingrid Goes West is co-written and directed by Matt Spicer and stars Aubrey Plaza, Elizabeth Olsen, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Wyatt Russell and Billy Magnussen. Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack EP for Disney’s Tangled: The Series. The EP features four original songs from the show written by Academy Award winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Enchanted) and featuring lyrics by Glenn Slater (Galavant), including the tracks Let Me Make You Proud performed by Jeremy Jordan (as Varian) and I’ve Got This by Mandy Moore (as Rapunzel) from tonight’s episode Queen for a Day. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 20 and will be available to download on Amazon.
