Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the family movie Paddington 2 directed by Paul King and starring Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Hugh Grant, Brendan Gleeson, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Imelda Staunton and Ben Whishaw. The film’s original score is composed by Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, Kubo and the Two Strings, Darkest Hour). Also opening wide is the thriller The Commuter directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and starring Liam Neeson, Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Jonathan Banks, Elizabeth McGovern and Sam Neill. Roque Banos (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead, The Machinist, Risen, Oldboy, Sexy Beast) has composed the film’s original music. Walt Disney Records has announced the first full soundtrack album for Disney’s Tangled: The Series. The album features the songs from the show composed by Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Enchanted) and featuring lyrics by Glenn Slater (Galavant), including previously unreleased Set Yourself Free and Ready As I’ll Ever Be from the first season finale premiering this weekend. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 19, 2018. and will be available to download on 
Heitor Pereira is reuniting with director Raja Gosnell (Never Been Kissed, Scooby-Doo, Big Momma’s House) on the upcoming family comedy Show Dogs. The film starring Will Arnett, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Natasha Lyonne, Jordin Sparks, Gabriel Iglesias, Shaquille O’Neal, Alan Cumming and Stanley Tucci revolves around the unlikely pairing of a human detective and his canine partner who has to go undercover at the world’s most exclusive dog show to solve his biggest case yet. 
Dare To Care Records has released a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Game of Death. The album features the film’s original music composed by Julien Mineau. The soundtrack is now available to download on 
Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, The LEGO Movie, 21/22 Jump Street, The Royal Tenenbaums) is composing the music for the upcoming IMAX documentary Pandas. The film is directed by David Douglas & Drew Fellman and follows a researcher at Chengdu Panda Base in China who is dedicated to protecting the species by breeding adult Giant Pandas in order to introduce cubs into the wild and whose passion leads her to initiate a new technique inspired by a black bear program in rural New Hampshire. 
Hollywood Records will release the first soundtrack album for Marvel’s Hulu original series Runaways. The album features a selections of songs from the show’s first season by artists such as Francis and the Lights, Glass Animals, Billie Eilish, Sofi Tukker, Lizzy Land & more. Also included is the main titles theme by the series’ composer Siddhartha Khosla (This Is Us, The Royals, The Neighbors), as well as the original song Gert’s Lullaby, which he co-wrote with Ariela Barer. The soundtrack will be available to download tomorrow, January 12 on 
Matteo Zingales (The Hunter, Secrets & Lies) & Antony Partos (Animal Kingdom, The Rover) are reteaming with director Ramin Bahrani on the upcoming HBO original movie Fahrenheit 451. The film starring Michael B. Jordan, Michael Shannon, Sofia Boutella and Lilly Singh is based on Ray Bradbury’s classic novel of the same name, depicting a future where the media is an opiate, history is rewritten and “firemen” burn books. Bahrani (At Any Price, Goodbye Solo) also co-wrote the script with Amir Naderi (Vegas: Based on a True Story) and is executive producing the project with Jordan, Sarah Green (The Tree of Life, Mud, Loving, Frida), Alan Gasmer (Vikings) and Peter Jaysen (Fired Up!). 
Lakeshore Records will release the first song from the soundtrack for the romantic drama Midnight Sun. The track, entitled Burn So Bright, is performed by lead actress Bella Thorne and will be released as a digital single on January 19, 2018. Visit
