Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for Robert Zemeckis’ 1988 classic Who Framed Roger Rabbit starring Bob Hoskins, Christopher Lloyd, Stubby Kaye, Charles Fleischer and Joanna Cassidy. The 3-CD set features the complete original score from the Touchstone Pictures production composed and conducted by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, The Avengers, Cast Away, The Croods, Captain America: The First Avenger), including more than 50 minutes of previously unreleased music, as well as alternate cues on the first two discs and the content of the original 1988 album on the third disc. Also included is the world premiere release of Bruce Broughton‘s music from the 1990/1993 animated shorts Rollercoaster Rabbit and Trail Mix-Up, as well as James Horner‘s score from 1989’s Tummy Trouble. David Lang to Score TNT’s ‘One Day She’ll Darken’

David Lang has been tapped to score the upcoming TNT limited series One Day She’ll Darken. The show is created by Sam Sheridan and stars Chris Pine, Leland Orser, India Eisley, Connie Nielsen, Jefferson Mays, Yul Vazquez, Justin Cornwell, Dylan Smith, Jay Paulson and Golden Brooks. The 6-parter tells the story of Fauna Hodel who was given away at birth. As she begins to investigate the secrets to her past, she follows a sinister trail that swirls ever closer to an infamous Hollywood gynecologist, a man involved in the darkest Hollywood debauchery. Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman, Monster) is directing the first three episodes and is also executive producing the project with Sheridan, Pine, Michael Sugar (Spotlight, 13 Reasons Why) and Carl Franklin (Out of Time, One True Thing). ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ Score Album Details

Back Lot Music will release a score album for the film adaptation of Fifty Shades Freed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Avengers: Age of Ultron). The soundtrack will be released physically on February 16, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released the composer’s score for Fifty Shades Darker and Republic Records has released Elfman’s music from Fifty Shades of Grey. A separate soundtrack for the third installment in the series featuring the songs from the movie will be released by Republic Records. Fifty Shades Freed directed by James Foley and starring Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, Arielle Kebbel, Kim Basinger, Brant Daugherty and Luke Grimes will be released in theaters nationwide on February 9, 2018 by Universal Pictures. UNKLE’s James Lavelle & Jack Leonard Scoring FX’s ‘ Trust’

This past week, James Lavelle and Jack Leonard of the British music collective UNKLE have been recording their score for the upcoming FX original series Trust. The show is created by Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, The Full Monty) and stars Donald Sutherland, Michael Esper, Hilary Swank, Harris Dickinson, Brendan Fraser, Anna Chancellor, Norbert Leo Butz, Charlotte Riley and Luca Marinelli. The drama’s first season tells the story of John Paul Getty III, heir to the Getty oil fortune, and is set in 1973 when the young Getty is kidnapped in Rome and his mafia captors are banking on a multi-million dollar ransom. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the war drama 12 Strong directed by Nicolai Fuglsig and starring Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shannon and Michael Peña. The film’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (The LEGO Batman Movie, Genius, The Crown, Terminator Genisys, Home). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Click here for the full album details. Walt Disney Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Disney Channel original movie Zombies. The album features the songs from the film performed by the movie musical’s cast including Meg Donnelly, Milo Manheim, Trevor Tordjman and Kylee Russell. Russo has also composed the main title theme for the show created by John Erick Dowdle & Drew Dowdle (No Escape, Quarantine) and starring Michael Shannon, Taylor Kitsch, John Leguizamo, Andrea Riseborough, Rory Culkin, Melissa Benoist, Paul Sparks, Shea Whigham, Camryn Manheim and Julia Garner. The 6-parter is based on the true story of the 1993 FBI siege of a religious sect in Waco, Texas that resulted in the deadly shoot out and fire.
