The full details of the soundtrack album for David Robert Mitchell’s neo-noir thriller Under the Silver Lake have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Disasterpeace (aka Rich Vreeland) who previously scored the director’s last feature It Follows. Also included are songs by R.E.M., Meek Bride & Her Band and The Association. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on June 22, 2018 by Milan Records. Philippe Sarde has been chosen as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s World Soundtrack Awards at the Film Fest Gent. The Brussels Philharmonic will perform his music at the 18th World Soundtrack Awards, which will take place on October 17, 2018. Throughout his career, Sarde has collaborated with directors such as Claude Sautet, Bertrand Tavernier, Roman Polanski, André Téchiné and Jean-Jacques Annaud on films including The Tenant, Tess, Thieves, Nelly & Monsieur Arnaud and Pirates.
