WaterTower Music has released the song Percy’s Pressure from the animated feature Smallfoot. The track performed by James Corden (who is lending his voice to the movie’s title character) is a cover of the classic Queen/David Bowie song Under Pressure and features new lyrics by Karey Kirkpatrick & Wayne Kirkpatrick. The song is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. Karey & Wayne Kirkpatrick have also written the original song Wonderful Life, which is performed by Zendaya and was released earlier this week. A full soundtrack album will be announced soon. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first four seasons composed by Jason Gallagher who is also known as a member of the rock band Leroy Justice. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s fifth season composed by Tree Adams (Californication, NCIS: New Orleans, Perception). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 24 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. The label has previously released soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s score from the series’ third and fourth season. Hildur Gudnadottir to Score Todd Phillips’ ‘Joker’ Origin Movie

Hildur Gudnadottir has been hired to score the upcoming Joker origin movie. Todd Phillips (The Hangover, Old School, Starsky & Hutch, War Dogs) will direct the film, which is set to star Joaquin Phoenix in the title role, alongside Robert De Niro, Frances Conroy, Zazie Beetz and Marc Maron. The movie based on the DC Comics character is reportedly set in Gotham City in the early 1980s. No plot details have been announced yet. Phillips has also co-written the screenplay with Scott Silver (The Fighter, 8 Mile) and is producing the project with Emma Tillinger Koskoff (The Wolf of Wall Street, Silence). The track is written by director Karey Kirkpatrick and Wayne Kirkpatrick and is performed by Zendaya who is also among the movie’s voice cast. As previously reported, Niall Horan has also contributed an original song to the film.
