L’R du Trésor will release a soundtrack album for Guillaume Canet’s comedy Rock’n Roll. The album features the film’s original music composed by French singer/songwriter Yodelice who previously scored the director’s last feature Blood Ties. Also included are the songs from the movie by artists such as Nick Waterhouse, Dead Or Alive, Celine Dion, Ellis Shirley, The Ting Tings, Ellis Shirley & more. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the WGN America original series Outsiders. The album features seven songs from the show by The Ben Miller Band. The Guild of Music Supervisors announced the nominations for its 7th annual awards ceremony, which will take place on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. The awards will recognize outstanding Music Supervisors in 15 categories representing Motion Picture, Television, Games, Trailers and Advertising. Below are the nominations for some of the major categories. In addition to those categories, Gary LeMel, who served as President of Music at both Columbia Pictures and Warner Bros. ‘Beauty and the Beast’ to Feature New Original Song by Celine Dion

Walt Disney Pictures announced today that Celine Dion will perform the new original song, How Does A Moment Last Forever, for the studio’s live-action Beauty and the Beast. The track is written by Academy Award-winning composer Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin) and lyricist Tim Rice (The Lion King, Evita). Portions of the song are performed throughout the film and interpolated into the underscore before Dion’s full-length version debuts during the film’s end credits. The film is directed by Stacie Passon (Concussion) and stars Alexandra Daddario, Taissa Farmiga, Sebastian Stan, Joanne Crawford and Crispin Glover. The movie is based on the horror novel of the same title by Shirley Jackson and follows an isolated family, which has already lost four members to poisoning, that uses rituals and talismans to keep itself away from hostile townspeople. The film marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Taylor Sheridan (Sicario) and stars Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen and Jon Bernthal. The movie centers on an FBI agent who teams with the town’s veteran game tracker to investigate a murder that occurred on a Native American reservation. Sheridan also wrote the screenplay. WM Italy has released a score album for the HBO mini-series The Young Pope. The album features the film’s original music composed by Lele Marchitelli (The Great Beauty). As previously reported, Decca Records has released a separate soundtrack overseas featuring the songs and score for the show. The comedy follows a married couple who are leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their teenage daughter until the wife goes through a dramatic change sending their lives down a road of death and destruction.
