Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media
A soundtrack album will be released for the British indie sci-fi adventure Invasion Planet Earth. The album features the film’s original music composed by Benjamin Symons. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 22 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Invasion Planet Earth is co-written and directed by Simon Cox and stars Simon Haycock, Lucy Drive, Julie Hoult, Danny Steele, Toyah Willcox and Michael Bott. Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, Crazy Rich Asians, Now You See Me) is set to reteam with director Justin Baldoni on the upcoming drama Clouds. The film stars Fin Argus, Sabrina Carpenter, Madison Iseman, Neve Campbell and Thomas Everett Scott. The movie is based on the book Fly a Little Higher by Laura Sobiec and follows a 17-year-old who is diagnosed a second time with Osteosarcoma, a rare form of pediatric bone cancer and in the months leading up to his death, he finds the courage to date and fall in love with his dream girl. The film is written and directed by Neil Burger (The Illusionist, Divergent, The Upside) and stars Tye Sherdian, Lily-Rose Depp, Fionn Whitehead, Colin Farrell, Chanté Adams, Viveik Kalra, Quintessa Swindell, Archie Madekwe and Archie Renaux. Deutsche Grammophon will release a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Daniel Isn’t Real. The album features the film’s original music composed by Clark (aka Chris Clark) (The Last Panthers, National Treasure: Kiri, Rellik). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 6 and is now available for pre-order here. A vinyl edition is also being released on the same day and is available to order on Amazon. Daniel Isn’t Real is co-written and directed by Adam Egypt Mortimer and stars Patrick Schwarzenegger, Miles Robbins, Sasha Lane, Hannah Marks and Mary Stuart Masterson. Netflix has announced today that Jay-Z and Jeymes Samuel will write and produce original music for the upcoming western The Harder They Fall. Samuel will also direct the film, which will star Idris Elba and Jonathan Majors. The movie follows an outlaw who discovers that the man who killed his parents two decades ago is being released from prison and reunites with his gang to track his enemy down and seek his revenge. Samuel also co-wrote the screenplay with Boaz Yakin (Remember the Titans, Fresh) and is producing the project with Jay-Z, James Lassiter (I Am Legend, Hitch, The Pursuit of Happyness) and Lawrence Bender (Pulp Fiction, Good Will Hunting, Kill Bill). The show is based on Universal Pictures’ feature film franchise and features the voice talent of Tyler Posey, Camille Ramsey, Luke Youngblood, Charlet Chung, Jorge Dia and Manish Dayal. The animated series centers on teenager Tony Toretto as he follows in the footsteps of his cousin Dom when he and his friends are recruited by a government agency to infiltrate an elite racing league serving as a front for a nefarious crime organization bent on world domination.
