Benjamin Wallfisch (Alien: Romulus, IT, The Flash Twisters, Blade Runner 2049, Shazam!, Hidden Figures, The Invisible Man) has composed the original music for the new animated action adventure Predator: Killer of Killers. The film is directed by Dan Trachtenberg (Prey, 10 Cloverfield Lane), co-directed by Josh Wassung (from animation company The Third Floor) and features the voices of Lindsay LaVanchy, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Rick Gonzalez and Michael Biehn. The movie follows three of the fiercest warriors in human history: a Viking raider guiding her young son on a quest for revenge, a WWII pilot who to investigates an otherworldly threat to the Allied cause and a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his Samurai brother in a battle for succession. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the martial arts action adventure Karate Kid: Legends directed by Jonathan Entwistle and starring Jackie Chan, Ralph Macchio, Ben Wang, Sadie Stanley, Ming-Na Wen and Joshua Jackson. The film’s original music is composed by Dominic Lewis (The Fall Guy, Bullet Train, The Man in the High Castle, Money Monster, Your Friends & Neighbors,The King’s Man, Violent Night, Spirited). Alf Clausen (1941-2025)

Alf Clausen passed away yesterday at age 84 at his home in Los Angeles after battling Parkinson’s disease. The composer is best known for his music for the Fox animated hit show The Simpsons, which he scored between 1990 and 2017 and for which he received two Emmy Awards and 23 Emmy Award nominations. His other scoring credits include ACB’s Moonlighting, for which he received six additional Emmy Award nominations, the NBC sitcom ALF, the ABC/Fox adult animated series The Critic, the CBS sitcom Bette, as well as the 1998 feature comedy Half Baked. Atlantic Records has released the sixth track from the soundtrack for the sports action drama F1. YG PLUS has released a soundtrack album for Netflix’s first-ever Korean original animated film Lost in Starlight. The album features the songs from the movie performed by artists such as CIFIKA, Meego, John Park and Wave to Earth’s Kim Daniel. Also included is the film’s original score composed by 1of1. Enjoy the Ride Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1998 comedy BASEketball co-written and directed by David Zucker and starring Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Yasmine Bleeth, Jenny McCarthy, Ernest Borgnine and Robert Vaughn. The album features the premiere release of the film’s original score composed by Ira Newborn (The Naked Gun, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Uncle Buck). Also included are four songs by the ska punk band Reel Big Fish, Supersuckers’ Psyched Out, as well as the previously unreleased song Warts On Your Dick written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
