Nick Jonas has recorded the original song Home for Blue Sky Studios’ upcoming animated feature Ferdinand. The singer/songwriter co-wrote the track with Justin Tranter and Nick Monson. Nico Muhly has recently recorded his score for the upcoming BBC and Starz limited series Howards End. The show is developed by Kenneth Lonergan (Manchester By the SeaYou Can Count On Me) based on the classic E.M. Forster novel and stars Hayley Atwell, Matthew Macfadyen, Julia Ormond, Philippa Coulthard, Joseph Quinn, Rosalind Eleazar, Tracey Ullman and Alex Lawther. The 4-parter explores the changing landscape of social and class divisions in turn of the century England through the prism of three families. Hettie Macdonald (Beautiful Thing) is directing all episodes. Colin Callender (Wolf Hall), Joshua D. Maurer (The Hoax), Alixandre Witlin & David A. The Orchard will release a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age drama Lane 1974. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jason Staczek (he Forbidden Room, Keyhole). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 22, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Lane 1974 is directed by  S.J. Chiro and stars Sophia Mitri Schloss, Katherine Moennig, Sara Coates, Linas Phillips, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sarah-Eve Gazitt and Annette Toutonghi. Atli Orvarsson is reteaming with director David M. Rosenthal on the upcoming action thriller How It Ends. The film starring Theo James, Kat Graham, Forest Whitaker and Kerry Bishe revolves around a mysterious apocalyptic event that turns the roads into mayhem, and follows a young father who will stop at nothing to get home to his pregnant wife on the other side of the country. Dan Jones has been hired to compose the music for the upcoming BBC mini-series The Miniaturist. The period thriller is directed by Guillem Morales (Julia’s Eyes) and stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Romola Garai, Alex Hassell, Paapa Essiedu, Hayley Squires and Emily Berrington. The 3-parter is based on Jessie Burton’s best-selling novel of the same title and follows a woman who moves to live with her new husband in 17th Amsterdam, but soon discovers that not everything is what it seems. Kate Sinclair is executive producing the project for The Forge, alongside Elizabeth Kilgarriff (Poldark, Call the Midwife) for the BBC and Rebecca Eaton (Sherlock, Downton Abbey) for PBS’ Masterpiece.
