Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the martial arts action adventure Karate Kid: Legends directed by Jonathan Entwistle and starring Jackie Chan, Ralph Macchio, Ben Wang, Sadie Stanley, Ming-Na Wen and Joshua Jackson. The film’s original music is composed by Dominic Lewis (The Fall Guy, Bullet Train, The Man in the High Castle, Money Monster, Your Friends & Neighbors,The King’s Man, Violent Night, Spirited). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Check out our previous article for the full album details and to learn more about the Sony Pictures release.

Also opening nationwide today is the upcoming supernatural horror thriller Bring Her Back directed by Danny & Michael Philippou and starring Sally Hawkins, Billy Barrat, Sora Wong,  Jonah Wren Phillips and Sally-Anne Upton. Cornel Wilczek (Talk to Me, Apple Cider Vinegar, Together, Clickbait, Nowhere Boys, These Final Hours, Glitch, The Mule, Cut Snake) has composed the film’s original music. Alf Clausen (1941-2025)

Alf Clausen passed away yesterday at age 84 at his home in Los Angeles after battling Parkinson’s disease. The composer is best known for his music for the Fox animated hit show The Simpsons, which he scored between 1990 and 2017 and for which he received two Emmy Awards and 23 Emmy Award nominations. His other scoring credits include ACB’s Moonlighting, for which he received six additional Emmy Award nominations, the NBC sitcom ALF, the ABC/Fox adult animated series The Critic, the CBS sitcom Bette, as well as the 1998 feature comedy Half Baked. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout & Dead Reckoning, Black Widow, The Wheel of Time, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, Top Gun: Maverick) is scoring the upcoming BBC/Disney+ drama The War Between the Land and the Sea. The first Doctor Who spin-off series is written by Russell T Davies (Doctor Who, Torchwood) & Pete McTighe (A Discovery of Witches, The Pact) and stars Russell Tovey, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ruth Madeley, Colin McFarlane, Jemma Redgrave and Alexander Devrient. The 5-parter directed by Dylan Holmes Williams follows the international military organization UNIT who step into action when a fearsome and ancient species emerges from the ocean, dramatically revealing themselves to humanity. Atlantic Records has released the sixth track from the soundtrack for the sports action drama F1. Available to stream/download on all major digital music services is Just Keep Watching co-written (with Ryan Tedder, Tyler Spry & Amy Allen) and performed by Tate McRae. Also check out the official music video after the jump. The label has previously released five first songs (by Don Toliver feat. Doja Cat, Rosé, Dom Dolla feat. Nathan Nicholson, Chris Stapleton & Myke Towers) over the last couple weeks and will release the full F1 The Album on June 27 (check out our previous article for the album details). ‘Lost in Starlight’ Soundtrack Album Released

YG PLUS has released a soundtrack album for Netflix’s first-ever Korean original animated film Lost in Starlight. The album features the songs from the movie performed by artists such as CIFIKA, Meego, John Park and Wave to Earth’s Kim Daniel. Also included is the film’s original score composed by 1of1. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to several songs and the first score track below. Lost in Starlight is directed by Han Ji-won and features voice performances by Kim Tae-ri and Hong Kyung, The animated sci-fi romance is set in Seoul in 2050 and tells the romantic tale of an aspiring Mars astronaut and a reluctant musician. World Premiere Release of Ira Newborn’s ‘BASEketball’ Score Announced

Enjoy the Ride Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1998 comedy BASEketball co-written and directed by David Zucker and starring Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Yasmine Bleeth, Jenny McCarthy, Ernest Borgnine and Robert Vaughn. The album features the premiere release of the film’s original score composed by Ira Newborn (The Naked Gun, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Uncle Buck). Also included are four songs by the ska punk band Reel Big Fish, Supersuckers’ Psyched Out, as well as the previously unreleased song Warts On Your Dick written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The soundtrack is being released as a limited vinyl edition in different variants and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can find out more information about the release. Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the British biographical drama Mr. Burton. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Hardy (Hidden, A Dark Place, Tree on a Hill, Steel Country, Hegus, Hinterland) and performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 13 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Hesham Nazih has been tapped to score the upcoming Disney+ animated series Eyes of Wakanda. The show is developed by Todd Harris and features the voices of Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Adam Gold, Larry Herron, Lynn Whitfield, Jona Xiao, Gary Anthony Williams, Jacques Colimon, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Steve Toussaint, Zeke Alton and Anika Noni Rose. The 4-parter tells the stories of brave Wakandan warriors throughout history as they must complete dangerous missions to retrieve Vibranium artifacts from Wakanda’s enemies.
