Premiering tonight is the HBO original documentary series The Mortician directed by Joshua Rofé about the Lamb Funeral Home in Pasadena that took advantage of their clients at their most vulnerable moments in the early 1980s. The show’s original music is composed by Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Enola Holmes, Steve Jobs, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Birds of Prey) and Adem Ilhan (In the Loop, The Ballad of Wallis Island, Avenue 5, The Beautiful Game). Premiering in the U.S. on Wednesday, June 4, is the British TV series Mr Loverman based on the novel of the same title by Bernardine Evaristo, adapted by Nathaniel Price and starring Lennie James, Ariyon Bakare and Sharon D. Clarke. Speakers Corner Quartet have composed the show’s original music. OTIH Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the musicians’ score last fall.
