Relapse Records will release a soundtrack album for Joe Begos’ horror movie Bliss. The album features the film’s original music composed by Steve Moore (The Guest, Mayhem, Don’t Knock Twice, Cub) who previously scored the director’s The Mind’s Eye. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 17, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Bliss is written and directed by Begos and stars Dora Madison, Tru Collins, Rhys Wakefield, Jeremy Gardner, Graham Skipper and George Wendt. THR is reporting that Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, The Prince of Egypt, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame) has composed the original music for a new musical film adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol from Walt Disney Pictures. The movie, entitled Marley, will be directed by Bill Condon (Chicago, Beauty and the Beast, Dreamgirls, Mr. Holmes), and is told through the eyes of Jacob Marley, the deceased business partner of Ebenezer Scrooge. Escho has announced the world premiere soundtrack releases for Nicolas Winding Refn’s crime thrillers Pusher II and Pusher III, the second and third parts in the Pusher trilogy written and directed by the filmmaker. The albums feature the films’ original music composed by Peter Peter and Peter Kyed. Both soundtracks are now available digitally and on vinyl. The album features the film’s original music composed by jazz pianist Brad Mehldau who has previously scored Attal’s ..And They Lived Happily Ever After and My Wife Is an Actress. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the horror thriller Countdown written and directed by Justin Dec and starring Elizabeth Lail, Jordan Calloway, Talitha Bateman, Tichina Arnold, P.J. Byrne and Peter Facinelli. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, Boy Erased, The Gift, Enemy, American Gods).
