Netflix has announced today that Jay-Z and Jeymes Samuel will write and produce original music for the upcoming western The Harder They Fall. Samuel will also direct the film, which will star Idris Elba and Jonathan Majors. The movie follows an outlaw who discovers that the man who killed his parents two decades ago is being released from prison and reunites with his gang to track his enemy down and seek his revenge. Samuel also co-wrote the screenplay with Boaz Yakin (Remember the Titans, Fresh) and is producing the project with Jay-Z, James Lassiter (I Am Legend, Hitch, The Pursuit of Happyness) and Lawrence Bender (Pulp Fiction, Good Will Hunting, Kill Bill).
