‘Cats’ Soundtrack Details

The full details of the soundtrack album for the film adaptation of the stage musical Cats have been revealed. The album features the film’s music composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber (Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar) and performed by cast members including James Corden, Judi Dench, Jason Derulo, Jennifer Hudson, Ian McKellen, Rebel Wilson, Francesca Hayward, Robbie Fairchild and Taylor Swift. Also included is the original song Beautiful Ghosts written by Webber & Swift, which is already available as a digital single. Lakeshore Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Lost in Space. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Christopher Lennertz (Horrible Bosses, Sausage Party, The Boys, Ride Along, Agent Carter, Supernatural). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 20 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from the first season. WaterTower Music will release the official soundtrack album for the drama Just Mercy. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joel P West (Short Term 12, Grandma, The Glass Castle, Band of Robbers). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, December 13 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon. Just Mercy is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and stars Michael B. Warner Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Bombshell. The album features the film’s original score composed by Theodore Shapiro (The Devil Wears Prada, Tropic Thunder, Ghostbusters, Spy, Marley & Me). Caroline Shaw, Petra Haden & The Bangles’ Susanna Hoffs are featured vocalists on the score. Also included is the original song One Little Soldier written and performed by Regina Spektor. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 13 and will be available to stream and download on Amazon Music. Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, Veep, Mickey Mouse, The Lion Guard) has signed on to score the upcoming animated feature Lamya’s Poem. The film is written and directed by Alexander Kronemer (Bilal: A New Breed of Hero) and features the voice talent of Mena Massoud, Millie Davis and Faran Tahir. The movie tells the story of a thirteen-year-old Syrian refugee who tumbles into a dream world where she meets a troubled young poet, and must help him write the poem that will save her life. The film is directed by Francis Annan and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Daniel Webber, Ian Hart, Mark Leonard Winter and Nathan Page. Warner Bros. Pictures/New Line Cinema have confirmed that Joseph Bishara will return as the composer for the horror sequel The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. The film is directed by Michael Chaves and stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga who reprise their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren. They are joined by Ruairi O’Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook and Julian Hilliard. David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (Orphan) wrote the screenplay based on a story by himself and James Wan (Aquaman, Furious 7, Insidious) who is producing the project with Peter Safran (Shazam!, The Nun).
