Director Nia DaCosta has revealed in a recent interview with Fandom that experimental musician Robert A. A. Lowe (aka Lichens) is composing the music for the upcoming Candyman sequel. The film starring Tahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and Colman Domingo is based on the Philip Glass-scored 1992 feature of the same title written by Bernard Rose and the short story The Forbidden by Clive Barker and returns to the now-gentrified Chicago neighborhood where the legend began. La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1992 historical drama Far and Away directed by Ron Howard and starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. The album features the remastered and expanded original music from the Universal Pictures release composed and conducted by John Williams (Star Wars, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Schindler’s List), including previously unreleased tracks from the score and alternate cues. Merge Records has announced a soundtrack album for the drama First Cow. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nashville guitarist William Tyler who has made his feature film scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 6 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A CD and vinyl edition is in the works to come out this summer. First Cow is co-written and directed by Kelly Reichardt and stars John Magaro, Orion Lee, Toby Jones and Ewen Bremner.
