Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the thriller The Rental directed by Dave Franco and starring Dan Stevens, Alison Brie, Sheila Vand, Jeremy Allen White and Toby Huss. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, The Outsider, The Gift, Enemy, Boy Erased, Martha Marcy May Marlene). Also opening in select theaters today before coming out on VOD next Friday, July 31, is the thriller The Big Ugly written and directed by Scott Wiper and starring Vinnie Jones, Ron Perlman, Malcolm McDowell, Nicholas Braun and Leven Rambin. Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Roots, 11.22.63, Touching the Void) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced. Atresmúsica has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish thriller Offering to the Storm (Ofrenda a la tormenta). The album features the film’s original music composed by Fernando Velazquez (The Impossible, The Orphanage, Hercules, Devil, Crimson Peak, A Monster Calls).
