Composers Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Steve Jobs, Birds of Prey, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) and Grégoire Hetzel (Incendies, Summertime, Ismael’s Ghosts, The Midwife) have contributed original music to the upcoming French thriller Lovers (Amants). The film is directed by Nicole Garcia and stars Pierre Niney, Stacy Martin and Benoît Magimel. The movie follows a woman who, while on vacation on an island in the Indian Ocean with her husband, rekindles a passionate affair with her ex-boyfriend. Decca Classics has released the original song Gratia Plena from the faith-based drama Fatima. The track, which is written by the film’s composer Paolo Buonvino (Medici, Fathers & Daughters, Romanzo Criminale) and performed by Andrea Bocelli, is now available to stream/download as a digital single on Amazon. Check out the official music video below. The track is also included on the movie’s official soundtrack album, which has just been released this past Friday. Walt Disney Records has released the new version of the song Reflection from Disney’s live-action film adaptation of Mulan. The track, which was originally written by David Zippel and Matthew Wilder for the 1998 animated classic, is produced by the movie’s composer Harry Gregson-Williams and performed by Christina Aguilera. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the horror thriller The New Mutants directed by Josh Boone and starring Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt and Henry Zaga. The film’s original music is composed by (The X-Files, Millennium, La Femme Nikita, Crazy in Alabama, Smallville). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the comedy drama The Personal History of David Copperfield directed by and starring Dev Patel, Tilda Swinton, Hugh Laurie, Peter Capaldi, Ben Whishaw, Paul Whitehouse and Gwendoline Christie. Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, Veep, The Lion Guard, Mickey Mouse) has composed the film’s original music. MVKA has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this year when the movie opened in the UK. Alexandre Desplat’s ‘Airlines’ Album Released

Warner Classics has released the album Airlines by Academy Award-winning composer Alexandre Deplat. The album features unreleased recordings, including revisited versions of music from the composer’s films, including the Oscar-winning scores for The Shape of Water and The Grand Budapest Hotel, as well as Lust, Caution, Girl with a Pearl Earring and Birth. Also included are two original concert works. The music is conducted by Desplat himself and is performed by flautist Emmanuel Pahud accompanied by the National Orchestra of France. ‘Wild Wild West’ Deluxe Edition Score Album Announced

Varese Sarabande has announced a new deluxe edition soundtrack album for the 1999 western comedy Wild Wild West directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and starring Will Smith, Kevin Kline, Kenneth Branagh and Salma Hayek. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Elmer Bernstein (To Kill a Mockingbird, The Magnificent Seven, Ghostbusters, Airplane, The Age of Innocence, Far from Heaven), including over 30 minutes of previously unreleased music, as well as additional music by Peter Bernstein and alternate versions and music not used in the film.
