Ian Arber (Medici, My Name Is Lenny, I Am Bolt) & Blur drummer Dave Rowntree (After the Screaming Stops, White Island)  have teamed up to score the new British Netflix original series The One. The show is created by Howard Overman (Misfits, Future Man) based on a book by John Marrs and stars Hannah Ware, Dimitri Leonidas, Amir El-Masry, Stephen Campbell, Wilf Scolding, Diarmaid Murtagh, Lois Chimimba, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Pallavi Sharda, Zoë Tapper and Gregg Chillin. EROICA música has released a soundtrack album for the Brazilian sci-fi thriller The Pink Cloud (A Nuvem Rosa). The album features the film’s original music composed by Caio Amon. The Pink Cloud is written and directed by Iuli Gerbase and stars Renata de Lélis, Eduardo Mendonça, Kaya Rodrigues, Helena Becker and Girley Paes. Premiering tonight is the HBO docu-series Allen v. Farrow directed by Kirby Dick & Amy Ziering about the accusation of sexual abuse against Woody Allen involving his 7-year-old daughter with Mia Farrow. The show’s original music is composed by Michael Abels (Get OutUsBad Education, All Day and a Night, See You Yesterday). Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, February 22, is the HBO Europe original series Beartown (Björnstad) created by Anders Weidemann, Antonia Pyk & Linn Gottfridsson based on the Fredrik Backman’s novel of the same title and starring Ulf Stenberg and Aliette Opheim. Johan Testad (The Sandhamn MurdersInkognito, Drifters) has composed the show’s original music. Music Super Circus has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last fall when the series premiered in Scandinavia. Quartet Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1968 Italian crime drama Bandits in Rome (Roma come Chicago) directed by Alberto De Martino, produced by Dino de Laurentiis and starring John Cassavetes, Gabriele Ferzetti, Anita Sanders and Nikos Kourkoulos. The album features the original music from the Paramount Pictures release composed by Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, Cinema Paradiso, The Mission, The Hateful Eight) & Bruno Nicolai (The Mercenary, Operation Kid Brother, Shanghai Joe, Django Shoots First). Antonio Pinto (City of God, McFarland, USA, Amy, Lord of War, SennaThe Boy Who Harnessed the Wind), Gabriel Ferreira & Felipe Kim (The Mechanism) have composed the original score for the new Netflix original documentary Pelé. The film is directed by David Tryhorn & Ben Nicholas and tells the story of iconic footballer Pelé, his quest for perfection and the mythical status he attained. The movie, which features interviews with Pelé himself, Zagallo, Rivellino, Juca Kfouri & Gilberto Gil, looks back at the extraordinary 12-year period in which the football player, the only man to win three World Cup titles, went from young superstar in 1958 to national hero in 1970. Opening in theaters nationwide today following an IMAX-exclusive release over the last three weeks is the drama Nomadland written and directed by Chloe Zhao and starring Frances McDormand, David Strathairn, Linda May, Swankie and Bob Wells. The film features (pre-existing) compositions by Ludovico Einaudi (The IntouchablesThe FatherSamba). Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as tracks by Ólafur Arnalds, Nat King Cole, Cat Clifford, Paul Winer, Donnie Miller & others. Ruth Barrett (Bodyguard, Collateral, Harry Brown, Victoria, Sanditon) has recently scored the new BBC series Bloodlands. The show is created by Chris Brandon and stars James Nesbitt, Lisa Dwan, Lorcan Cranitch, Charlene McKenna, Ian McElhinney, Lola Petticrew and Chris Walley. The 4-part crime thriller is directed by Pete Travis (Dredd, Vantage Point) and revolves around a detective who is forced to grapple with his past when he is sent on the hunt for a mythical assassin. Jed Mercurio (Line of Duty, Critical), Jimmy Mulville (Flack, Episodes) and Mark Redhead (Bloody Sunday, The Secret) are producing the project for HTM Television production. Disney announced today that Jhené Aiko has recorded the original song Lead the Way for the studios’ new animated feature Raya and the Last Dragon. The track, which is featured during the movie’s end title sequence, is written and performed by the Grammy Award-nominated singer/songwriter and will be included on the movie’s official soundtrack album, which also features the film’s original score by James Newton Howard, and will be coming out next Friday, February 26.
